Very disappointing. That it came down to an all-or-nothing veto is exceptionally bad. Where was the Trump White House while the budget was being crafted? It isn’t like the White House is sitting on the sidelines waiting for the budget to suddenly show up on his desk.

No, sorry to say, this shows very bad form, as in malfeasance bad.

There is no way Ryan and McConnell have not been in ongoing communication with the White House throughout the budget process, so this should not be falsely framed as a shock that this landed on his desk in this manner.

Yeah, last one he’ll sign like this. You mean, as in, “If we’re in the majority the first thing we’ll do is repeal Obamacare. Or, “Read my lips...”

Guess what? Republicans now have absolutely no momentum going into the November elections. What on earth could possibly motivate the base to show up at the polls in November? So they can again get shafted by Ryan, McConnell and the RINO squad? Why? Why should I ever vote Republican?

Pffft...

I would speculate that the Dems take the House, possibly the Senate. If they don’t immediately set out to impeach, I fear Trump will go wobbly and, let’s just say, he’ll work very well with the Democrats.

You don’t need a king to veto the dang bill.

We are a few months from the midterms. The Surrender Party was never going to fight this battle. Obviously Trump was told he would not be supported by the GOP so he took the route he did.

Here is what I heard from the press conference:

“They are trying to hold me hostage over this budget with the military. Therefore, I am going to let them. MAGA!!! Oh wait, I just made myself a fool again. Will NBC forgive me and give me my show back?”

Sorry folks, not feeling very great about this. I’ll get back on the Trump wagon later, I am sure. But today, just pissed off.

DJT had to sign it. There are things happening around the globe that requires DoD to build capability right now.

Also, we are on the hook for providing a Congress made up of true conservatives. If we don't do our job, how can DJT do his by himself?

They did NOT have the votes to override his veto.

Because the Dems want to bleed out the GOP in a shut down. After a few weeks of chaotic GOP Civl War no doubt the Dems would have supplied the votes for a new bill. An even worse bill most likely.

Ok we will see, who is right.

I never said we needed to run someone against Trump.

I do say it will be President Pence running for election in 2020 after Trump is impeached by the Dems, with the willing assistance of the GOP-E, in 2019.

Pence will be DOA. He cannot flip a single blue state and certainly would loses NC and FL.

Nope.

I didn’t lie to anyone, and I’m not going to tolerate being lied to.

I changed my tagline to memorialize today. What a tragedy.

The only ‘totally wild’ idea may be that Trump traded all this off on the condition that he get a pass for firing Mueller.

It’s dead alright.

Killed by the only person who could, the man who created it.

Tragic.

U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) today issued the following statement announcing his intention to vote against the omnibus spending bill:

“In 2016, the American people voted overwhelmingly for Republicans to change Washington. Now, Congress is poised to do the exact opposite: pass a massive $1.3 trillion spending bill — 2200 pages drafted by the Swamp in the dark of night — that will plunge our nation even deeper into debt.

“The disastrous elements of this bill are almost too numerous to list.

“It continues to fund Planned Parenthood, a corrupt organization whose horrifying abortion practices should preclude it from receiving taxpayer dollars.

“It continues to fund sanctuary cities, which are defying the law and making Americans less safe. Instead of rewarding sanctuary cities, we should be passing legislation like Kate’s Law, a bill I introduced that would put criminal illegal aliens in jail so they cannot prey on innocent Americans.

“It fails to provide sufficient funds to properly secure our border, let alone build the wall that is necessary.

“It tells federal agencies that they can spend taxpayer dollars to study the ‘causes’ of gun violence, a mandate that – make no mistake – will be abused by future liberal administrations to manufacture evidence to try to violate law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights.

“It funds the Ex-Im Bank, a classic example of corporate welfare that has doled out over $100 billion in taxpayer-guaranteed loans, primarily to a handful of giant and well-connected corporations.

“It fails to reduce funding for the EPA, which under Obama administration zealots, killed thousands of jobs and dramatically strayed from its core mission of ensuring clean air and water.

“All of these measures amount to piling even greater debt onto the backs of our kids and grandkids, all because we are incapable of living within our means.

Ryan is the real culprit here and needs to be removed.

They will burn us and then retire. I’m convinced of it now. Then after Trump we will get fresh faces and more promises that will be broken. The political class in this country is the scum of the earth.

The bulk of congress thanks the stupid masses for voting for them, so they could cram this porkzilla POS down your throat.

This bill is their creation. I place the blame at the feet of the people who put these scumbags in to office.

You personally may not have voted for any of these shitheads, but plenty of other clueless people did.

Now we’re going to pay for it.

I bet that President Trump read through this, and just shook his head.

For starters, Congressmen should not be able to own foreign investments.

And they should have to disclose finances of all immediate family.

And they should be banned from owning charitable foundations.

>>>They did NOT have the votes to override his veto.

They were within 2 votes in the senate and they would have found the votes in the house.
