I think the peace through strength argument has merit with Iran, the hub of Middle East trouble. They are just as dangerous with nuclear weapons as North Korea. The hiring of Pompeo and Bolton suggests Trump is assembling a war cabinet.

Bolton on Fox dismissed Pyongyang’s offer of talks as a mere ploy to buy time as it develops nuclear arms. He believes the talks should start with where US ships can port to load up North Korea’s nuclear weapons. Otherwise, the preemptive military strikes.

On Iran, Giuliani, recently commented on Bolton when he announced, “if anything, John Bolton has become more determined that there needs to be regime change in Iran, that the nuclear agreement needs to be burned, and that you need to be in charge of that country.”

If our problems with regime change come from our experience with Iraq, Bolton has a credible answer:

“I think the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, that military action, was a resounding success,” Bolton told Tucker Carlson. The chaos that followed in Iraq, he said, was caused by a poorly executed occupation that ended too soon. On the bright side, Bolton said, the mistakes the U.S. made in Iraq offered “lessons about what to do after a regime is overthrown” in the future.”

That answer nails it. Zer0 did not want the success his predecessor had in Iraq. I have no doubt he sabotaged that success in every way he could. Very few knew what he was up to. I had no mistake. Zer0 was criminal in Iraq, North Korea, China, Russia, and Iran (to name a few).
