“Hate to say it, but it was a Republican president, Ronald Regan, who first proposed this practiced and eventually signed the bill onto law. “

Along with the Brady bill and machine gun ban.

Along with the Brady bill and machine gun ban.

That happened under Clinton after Columbine. Regan was an NRA member. It took quite a few Republican votes in Congress to get it passed though.

It’s why I consider him an execrable excuse for a human being.

NOBODY who supports civil asset forfeiture without a CONVICTION is anything other than a traitor to the constitution and should be beaten severely before disenfranchisement and deportation.

I stand corrected but he supported it and Clinton’s assault weapon ban. He also signed onerous gun control law in CA.

Just a general heads up. If anyone of you ever pay bail for someone, even knowing they are innocent, they will see that the bail money is available for their greedy hands and get it. They will trump up huge crimes for the person and then talk them into a plea bargain. Who wouldn’t take the plea bargain rather then the threat of going to prison with a trumped up prosecution, as well as the cost of going to court? The next step is the confiscation of all the bail money you put up for the person to pay their large trumped up fine.

This happened to me because I thought people get their bail money posted back when the person shows up for court. I had no idea that it automatically went to pay their trumped up fine. The person I had helped didn’t have the money to pay me back. It’s all rigged to get that bail money. If it’s 2:00am, everyone is in a hurry to deal with the situation and get out of there, and they hand you many pages to read, beware, you are signing your bail money away to them.

Correct.
And this scheme has been going on since at least the 1950’s.

Pretty sure that Democrats are against the police/government stealing your stuff.

Nope.

If you are not one of their favored groups they are totally in favor of the government taking your stuff.

Heck they are in favor of common thieves taking your stuff.

There is no law possible, that will not be abused by the elected criminals who passed it, or by the bureaucrats who administer it.
