MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russia's Foreign Ministry said on Sunday reports of a gas attack in Syria were bogus and any military action taken based on such "invented and fabricated excuses" could lead to severe consequences.

"The spread of bogus stories about the use of chlorine and other poisonous substances by (Syrian) government forces continues. Yet another such fabricated piece of information about an alleged chemical attack in Douma appeared yesterday," the ministry said in a statement.

Anyone ever wonder where Saddam’s WMDs went? The ruling political party in Iraq under Saddam was the Ba’ath Party. The Ba’ath Party is currently the ruling political party in Syria. Jus sayin’....

"'First we deal with the rebels. Then Israel.' - Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad"

The Russians, Syrians, Iranians and others can't help it. They have hooks in their jaws.

You and the other neo-con propagandists seem to eerily have the same posting style.

Like a week after President Trump talks about exiting Syria this happens?

John Bolton officially starts his new job tomorrow.

Putin is the Neo-Connest and empire-hungry one of all.

Truth hurts.

Absolutely. I saw on Fox News, within 6 months Bush gave Iraq notice that we were coming, a caravan of huge trucks crossing border into Syria via satellite.

Not that many people saw that clip, and I don’t know why it wasn’t shown more often. We should never tell an enemy we are coming!

The media has no business knowing our plans. When I was a USNR, all info was on a ‘need to know’ basis.

Trump is calling Assad an “animal.”

Please show me some verifiable evidence, Mr. President.

Until then, this is fake news in my little universe.

But, strangely enough, nobody in the UN or elsewhere ever wants to investigate it...why is that?

Because we've always been at war with Eurasia - and war is peace.

Because the international crypto-globalist - i.e. human s**t - have been bending us over a barrel for the better part of a century now, and they'll do whatever it takes to keep using our treasure and young lives to continue the status quo

Time to get off the merry-go-round.

—Like a week after President Trump talks about exiting Syria this happens?—

“John Bolton officially starts his new job tomorrow.”

Just to be clear, I was not the one who originally said that, although I did acknowledge that was a true statement.

I think Mr. Bolton is well respected and listened to; a voice of experience and reason as far as I can tell.

“They are asking for an investigation. But, strangely enough, nobody in the UN or elsewhere ever wants to investigate it...why is that?”

I did not know that. Good question then - why the hesitation?

To ask the question is to answer it.

Bolton is not your classic Neocon.

While he has taken positions at times that agree with them, he has usually done so for different reasons.

He is America first. And only.

Russia offered to help ID the original of the nerve agent used in Britain.

But Britain refused to provide a sample, even though they are bound by the Chemical Weapons Treaty to do so.

That tells me all I need to know about that incident.

Both assertions can be independently verified.

We don’t have to take anyone’s word for it.

The US can fly over the town and take air samples with UN observers aboard. If chem weapons were used, they will be able to verify that.

Where they came from is another matter.

Re: “First we deal with the rebels. Then Israel.” - Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad

Do you have a verifiable link for that quote, Rose?

Assad has been Syria's dictator for 18 years.

Except for occasional firefights and terrorist incursions on the Golan Heights, Assad has rarely done anything to provoke Israel.

Assad's alliance with Iran and with Hezbollah in Lebanon is certainly something to worry about, but it can also be explained as strategic pragmatism for a dictator in a small poor country who is trying to protect his ethnic minority regime and his own life in a very, very dangerous neighborhood.

Reminds me of the propaganda minister for Sadaam Hussein when we invaded Iraq the second time.

“There are no enemy tanks inside Baghdad.” (As Abrams tanks could be seen in the background).

When the NeoCons can‘t gin up war fever on Freerepublic; it’s a sure sign the NeoCons have failed.

The latest ‚gas attack‘ is obviously a false flag.

Someone has been around long enough to know what time it is. Good point.
