I have changed my mind.

Even though Mueller is begging to be fired. Even though, as Napoleon said, you should “never do what your enemy desires, for this reason alone, that he desires it”.

Even though I believe Ryan (Romney) and McConnell (Bush) are in on the coup, and are just waiting for Trump to do this.

All that is still true/

But I believe there is a (small) chance Trump survives in the Senate if the only charge is firing Mueller, and that, like with Clinton, that surviving a Senate trial will make him stronger for November, while if he waits for the false charges to be presented in detail with 24/7 media assistance up until November he will be convicted.

Of course, he has to fire Rosenstein and Sessions as well, and probably Wray, and probably Kelly, and live with the chaos - but allowing himself to be broken by Mueller is not something that the nation can survive.

I thought that too... make it impossible for Trump to retain adequate legal council.

They pick away at the people surrounding him and destroy their family, career, finances and livelihood. Trump needs to get tough and blitzkrieg the entire lot of them instantly in one fell swoop

Senator Grassley said some time ago that he will not submit a new AG nomination to the floor if Sessions were removed.

"I think Muller WANTS to be fired."

You may well be right.

Mueller has to be losing hope of finding any Russian collusion. Given that his #1 goal is to get rid of Trump, the best chance of that happening at this point is to create dim outrage by getting himself fired.

Dershowitz is a very sharp legal mind however, that mind has trouble reconciling the damage done by high-profile individuals - such as himself - continuing to support the Democrat party. He’ll continue to be shocked! right up until the coup is complete.

Trump, not a lawyer, is cutting regulations, shrinking ABC departments, reducing overhead, replacing activist judges and cutting illegal alien inflow.

Those are all direct threats to the lawyer job class.

Politicians, judges and ABC dept toppers are mostly all lawyers.

Lawyers are America’s biggest problem and largest threat.

What would happen? What could happen?

Trump can't do anything, the repubs in congress have made it clear the will impeach and remove him if he does.

OH?

For breaking what law?

People seem to forget the threshold of high crimes. A fling with stormy does not meet that standard.

And has to be CONVICTED of those crimes first; right?

Really? name the repubs in congress or the house that have defended Trump, NAME ONE!

Name 'one'? "Congress or the House"? Not only have many Republicans defended Trump, they have stuck their necks out to do so to great scorn by the mainstream media. David Nunes and his entire committee especially. I don't see how you can pay even a cursory bit of attention to what is going on and not know this.

That said, I believe if there is a big Dem wave in November there are some Republicans who would in fact join the Democrats to impeach and remove to "save the party" from Trump because "the people have spoken." And there are some Republicans who literally want to lose and lose big so the narrative and momentum can be set for this. Hence, why it is important to have a victory in November to stop this narrative in its tracks that "the people" want the President gone. But with your attitude, the President will indeed be in danger of being removed as you are helping provide the momentum for it.

Nunes has been doing his job, but I have not heard him directly defend the President. In fact he is working directly with gowdy who has continually defended mueller. It's been two years since the obumber administration used the complete surveillance resources of the United States to spy on the Trump campaign, transition team and administration, any yet not a word of outrage from anyone in senate or the house. Then they selectively leak embarrassing or highly classified information to discredit Trump, with out so much as a squeak from congress. Muller has gone after Trump his family, friends and supporters and in many cases ruined people with out objection from congress. In fact, with the mild exception of Jorden and Nunes, they are all cherring on mueller and his witch hunt. My god, mueller just raided Trump's lawyer's home, offices and motel room, yet not a word from congress. Add to that mccaniac, gramesty, gardner, flake, grassly, mcconnel, ryno and I could on and on, have flat out threatened Trump with impeachment and removal if Trump fires the people he has direct authority to fire. They are all waiting for mueller to produce anything they can use to discredit and impeach Trump. I don't know what will happen in November, but I don't think it makes a lick of difference. They all want Trump removed. I'll be voting, but I will not vote for anyone currently in congress. I have changed my registration to independent and am no loner affiliated with the gop.

Pardon of Richard Nixon - Wikipedia

A presidential pardon of Richard Nixon (Proclamation 4311) was issued on September 8, 1974, by President Gerald Ford, which granted his predecessor Richard Nixon
a full and unconditional pardon for any crimes he might have committed against the United States while president.

Might have?
Seems legally shakey to me!
