No vegetation whatsoever to block his view and the boy was 20 FEET away from him.
If you ever get the chance, read David Paulides Missing 411 books. He has produced seven of them now. Fascinating and frightening reading. None of the cases are normal cases of someone getting lost on a hike, or drive. A few have even disappeared at scenic viewpoints along roads. Car keys, purses found in vehicle, but they are gone, never to be found.
