This reminds me of the promotion they did for “Bat Day” at the ballpark. Then all the drunks beat each other with them and they never did it again.
When I worked at the airport the Oakland A's would have Bat Day every so often. We took them away by the bucket-full from passengers trying to take them into the cabin in their carry on. “No Bats For You”
Back in the old days of the early 70’s, we went to the Texas Rangers game on bat night. We received a full sized little league bat for attending. I have it around here somewhere. Sometime after that they went to the mini bat.
