Relax. Grassley has blunted the actions of Trump-haters and bill-sponsors like Linda Graham and Thom Tillis a number of times with political maneuverings. Looks like that’s what he’s up to here too.
He can count votes, both in the Judiciary Committee and in the Senate, and he acts accordingly to steer things his direction.
He has a constituency.
Let’s see if the hayseeds that keep voting for him will do anything other than pretend like they care.

Let’s get this over with. Trump should throw down and fire Mulehead and then request/demand an immediate impeachment vote. Congress can put up or shut up. HE WILL WIN the balless Congress will never vote to impeach and the craven Senate will NEVER vote to convict.
Seeing things like this makes me wonder if there is extensive arm twisting and both overt and implied blackmail of people going on.
