White House correspondent April Ryan said Wednesday that she has gotten death threats after asking press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders if President Trump had considered resigning.
Ryan, the correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, said on CNN that those who oppose the president have thought her question was great, while Trumps supporters have been outraged.
Theyre angry. Ive been getting death threats and weve been calling the FBI and I mean, I put one on social media and this is real, Ryan told CNN.
I asked a simple question I did not point a finger, I asked a question and now my life is in jeopardy because of a question. But Im going to continue to do my job, she continued.
Ryan had asked Sanders during the press briefing Tuesday whether Trump had considered stepping down. Sanders dismissed Ryans question as ridiculous.
The reporter defended asking the question, which came one day after the FBI raided the offices of Trumps personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
Ryan said Wednesday that sources have told her that the possibility of Trump resigning has been on the table.
That is not illogical, irrational. It is a real question on the table, the path [the] White House does not want to deal with because theyre trying to craft the picture, the winning image. And there is no winning picture at this moment, Ryan said.
Where in TRUMP's demeanor gave you the impression he is a person that would resign when the going gets tough?
“There is nothing extreme or stupid about it.”
Oh yes there is. These are not “Biblical Times” my friend, but you can go on living there if you choose. I’d like to see Evans loose her WH press credentials, but she’s not in the same category as say John McCain whom I hope gets his “just deserts” within the next few months. No pikes involve!
Please, no! I'd keep getting spicy when I ordered mild, and that's a drag.
