What team of morons wants to go to Syria during their civil war to inspect for chemical weapons?

My vote? Get out of Syria and leave it to the Syrians and the Russians. We do not have viable options that would be better than Assad, so we should stay out. Anything we do will either (1) prolong the civil war, or (2) replace Assad with someone far worse.

I could argue that your vote is another vote for more permanent Russian bases in Syria and a naval buildup on the Mediterranean for Russia, Syria, Iran, North Korea,... As for Assad, his domestic enemies are a mix of religious subgroups who are wanting more freedom. It's common knowledge that Islamic State has already been effectively shut down in the region. Assad's foreign enemies are and have been the U.S.A., Israel and NATO countries.

But it appears that with your perception of the situation and likely extensive enough education for background knowledge, you wouldn't change your mind.

Eventually and possibly soon, armies from the uttermost parts of the north will advance against Jerusalem, and descendants of pre-ancient Persia, Cush and Phut (from before the slow, northward migrations of sub-saharans, a time when northern Africa wasn't so dry) will follow them. Descendants of those nations and of several other pre-ancient nations will develop a similar obsession in many of today's countries.

A war in Israel will commence, culminating in the beginning of an unprecedentedly terrible plague that will spread from that area to the other countries of the world. The wealthiest investors worldwide will run out of ways to keep their money. There will be very short term but intense civil wars in many countries including this one (see the mix of ancestries here).

All because of a rebellion in several lines of descent against G-d's eternally unchanging Law and G-d's eternally unchanging decision for Israel. It's happening according to the Prophets including bizarre, widespread changes in human behavior in unison.

Everyone knows that something big and new is happening, but it seems that very few want to know what it is.

“We do not have viable options that would be better than Assad, so we should stay out. “

Reminds me of the Bush people bragging about having an exit strategy when the Iraq and Afghan wars got going, and especially how well it worked out when we got rid of Saddam. It turned out to be a mess all the way around where we actually destabilized the region and let Iran become more powerful when Saddam was actually keeping them at bay. Not to mention the cost of American lives and dollars spent.

We don’t have a better plan than Assad. We should just keep the hell out.

The only possible reason I’d want to get red of Assad is so I could personally take in his hot wife as a refugee.
