I would rather see Mubarak, Hussein, Gadhafi, and Assad ruling as opposed to ISIS. It’s a no brainer who Mideast people flock to after a dictator is removed. The removal of Hussein and Gadhafi has lead to severe repercussions. We were lucky with Egypt as the military thwarted Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood and less so with the new Islamic Iraq. Removing Assad would be devastating. None of this is America’s fight. It’s entanglement that has zero upside.
