Perhaps Hillary thought it would be good strategy to let Comey clear her some months before the election, but then why revisit it 2 weeks prior to election?
Caller into Rush the other day posed that theory, and Rush gave her an A for her summary. On the 2 weeks side it was to cement the deal and in normal weasel land know that something would come out, so put it out and then quickly end it...
Only this time it didn’t work...
I read your entire post before I responded.

enjoy.
I still question why would Bashir Assad gas his own people with Trump announcing in Cleveland he wants to get out of Syria. Makes no sense to me.
Its a question of what I missed and where.
Agree. But somehow it happened, and unlike Obama The Donald saw that someone used them against civilians and took the opportunity to send a message. Also he may have been saying maybe no boots on the ground, but we come by air whenever and wherever necessary...
I found somehting that makes sense,it never was a gas bomb but a high explosive that set off other stuff.
this may well be more likely and supports your using the French intel which could still be true.
Something else to consider:
A Syrian high explosive bomb hit supplies of aluminum phosphide stored in a building in the northeast area of Khan Sheikhoun, releasing a cloud of deadly phosphine gas, which caused the deaths and injuries.

You gotta love the early Arnold...LOL!

You are very right about Jonah Goldberg, a very good writer but his anti-Trump sentiments have kept me from reading a single word he writes any more.
Jonahs mom is Lucianne Goldberg.
Me thinks that how he got his foot in the MSM door
IMHO Sessions should have fired the Mule Team long ago, they are way away from their mandate.
You gotta love the early Arnold...LOL!
His screenwriters provide some memorable lines that due to his physique brand well with him.
A. Do not let democrats win.
B. Hold your nose and vote Republican!
C. Vote even if all candidates disgust you!
D. Dont let Pelosi become Speaker again.
Ok, so there are a few things that need to be said in response to this.
First, this is the same commentary we keep hearing that allows the RINOs to stay in office. If this is how people here at FR feel, well then, I should never ever see any negative commentary about ANY Republican.
Secondly, The Donald sold us out when he signed the Cromnibuss bill - So we have more RINOs everywhere. Our children and their children will pay the price. For us the price will be in the reduction of the money we will receive from that great PONZI scheme called Social Security.
Third, I hope that The Donald gets all of his judicial appointees through the Senate - Once again no ill words on this forum about those pesky RINOs
.................
little details like that never seem to stop the hard left when they are on a mission to destroy Trump. just too friggin' good!!
WTF are Iranian forces doing in Syria?!? Who let these scumbags in? Just no! And if theyre around Damascus, well, that less than 50 miles from Israel. No, no, no. No Iranians. As bad as ISIS and need to be killed, every one of them.
The Iranians and the Russians were invited into Syria by Assad, the recognized leader of the country and head of state. Assad appoints his ambassadors to Syrian embassies around the world and to the UN.
The real question is what are 2,000 uninvited US troops doing in Syria and why have we been bombing Syria since September 22, 2014. It started with bombing ISIS and evolved into bombing Syrian government targets. We violate Syrian airspace daily.
At the direction of U.S. President Barack Obama, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was put in charge of the operations, worth about $1 billion annually, to arm anti-government forces in Syria, an operation which formally began in 2013, more than two years after the start of the civil war in 2011. Prior to 2013, the CIA only supplied certain rebel groups of the Free Syrian Army with non-lethal aid, but later began providing training, funding, and intelligence to selected rebel commanders.
Targeting Iranians and Russians is not an endgame. It can only escalate our involvement there. I hope Trump has dumped regime-change as an objective. His instincts to get out are spot on.
Oh, good one!
When I reflect back on those days; when Rosenstein AND Sessions (and if Session had already recused himself, why did he even weigh in) wrote letters ASKING Trump to fire Comey, then WHY did we need a special counsel?
As Nancy Reagan used to say, “Just say no.”
I saw the SC as a way to get Trump, not the truth in ANY way.
We all discussed it right here, and we all pretty much agreed.
The whole idea than—as now—about Russian collusion (RC) getting Trump elected, or causing Hillary to lose, was Babe the Big Blue Ox level BULL$HIT.
Hillary passing out and saying it was just the flu was not RC.
Hillary not having rallies every day, often multiple times a day and evening as Trump did, was not RC.
Hillary not visiting Wisconsin once during the campaign, as Trump did, was not RC.
Hillary and her failure to protect the under-fire Consulate in Benghazi, setting up an illegal private email server, grafting billions for her Foundation, using the DNC to thwart Bernie, all of this was NOT RC!!!
But we all know that.
Unggggghhhhh! Makes my blood boil, it does!
Goldberg can’t say one good thing about Trump. He and Bill Kristol are two peas in a pod.
Once he’s impeached and convicted Dan, Trump does NOTHING you want.
The democrats then get 100%, we get Zero.
I’ll take 35, 50, 75 percent over ZERO any blanking day.
How can a democrat win in November, with our already reeling Nation after Obama’s 8 years, help any of us?
Trump has just got started. The only way to keep him at it is to vote Republican. There is no other choice except losing.
What you say is tactically true, but strategic a loss of everything.
And before anyone says it, I see very little of the House RINOs being primaried by any conservatives. That right there is a huge problem we’ve already failed at. The next will come in November if we don’t get out the vote.
Face it, we excel at talking, but the doing part?
Yeah, right.
Apples and bees.
They controlled all the Agencies in the Federal Government for years. Trump is a threat to the Government Empire.
DRAIN THAT SWAMP!!!
I don’t disagree with us having no mission in Syria beside defeating ISIS.
Like the invasion of Cambodia a half century ago, we cannot let our enemies, actively engaging us, have such safe sanctuaries.
We could certainly make the case that those parts of Syria completely in ISIS control were not Assad’s territory at the time, but he should have been allowed to move his forces back in once the pest control job was finished.
You’re a diplomat, does any nation have right to intervene when the nation they intervene in is in rebellion? What about France helping the US in 1779? What about the Western Powers in the Soviet Union in 1919? And I’m sure you know of dozens of such historical incidents.
No one can say that Syria is not in a civil war, and that parts of it are not under control by its own government.
I do strongly agree that replacing Middle East dictators with Islamic Fundy radicals, or weak politicians who will be overrun by Islamic Fundies, is not in our national interests. It’s been a huge mistake everywhere we try it.
