HOUSTON --- A security guard at a gun store along the Katy Freeway shot three suspected burglars early Tuesday, according to the Houston Police Department.
The crime and shooting happened at the Full Armor Firearms in the 11900 block of Katy Freeway.
Around 2:07 a.m. the security guard reported an attempted break-in in progress at the store. He then reported he was involved in a shootout with the suspects.
The wounded suspects fled the scene and later crashed their car. All three were then transported to the hospital with a police escort.
One of the three suspects is said to be in critical condition. The security guard was not shot.
This isn't the first time the gun store and gun range has been targeted by criminals. In early 2017, workers at the store defended the business by opening fire on suspects with an AR-15.

If O’bastard had a son...he would be dumb enough to break into a guarded gun store.

Love them Texas laws. In CA, the guard would be in jail.

Shooting three burglars is a good start. I hole they learn from this. If not, I hope the next store owner is not as lenient (or as outnumbered).

The guard needs more time at the Athena Gun Club just up the street - only one perp is either room temp or in critical condition.
