That makes for a nice ironic headline, but he really didn't. What Comey asked for was for the IG to clear him of wrongdoing in the Hillary investigation. Evidently Comey was either unaware that the new IG law was co-written by Horowitz because of years of stonewalling by 0bama, or in his colossal arrogance he believed the IG wouldn't dare to find the Director of the FBI had acted improperly in
multiple Clinton investigations.
He was wrong on both counts.
