So much of this would go away if the government established pin nunbers for you ssn.

The pin numbers could be monitored or changed by the users at any time.

As it is now ssn is like a user account with out a password. Crazy.

Time to just not give out your SSN.

Only 1 or 2 credit cards, not a dozen.

One or two bank accounts, not lots.

Pay deposits ... do not let utilities have your SSN for credit establishment.

Lots of ways to lower your risk.
