The Justice Departments inspector general has referred Andrew McCabe to the U.S. attorneys office in Washington, D.C., for a possible false-statements prosecution....
He lied about leaking a conversation in which the Obama Justice Department pressured the FBI to stand down on an investigation of the Clinton Foundation....
...the thendeputy director was stung by a Wall Street Journal story that questioned his fitness to lead an investigation of Hillary Clinton, the Democrats nominee. McCabes wife had received $675,000 in donations....
...Back in July, according to [WSJ reporter] Barretts sources, McCabe had instructed agents to refrain from making overt moves that could alert the public that Hillary Clinton, the Democrats nominee, was yet again on the FBIs radar this time, owing to a probe of the Clinton Foundation.
Barretts call came in just as the Bureau was dealing with the controversy over Director James Comeys reopening of the Clinton emails investigation....
McCabe instructed Page to rebut Barretts story with a leak. Specifically, she was to tell Barrett about a tense conversation on August 12, 2016, between McCabe and a high-ranking Obama Justice Department official. The leak would show that McCabe, far from burying the Clinton Foundation investigation, had defended the FBIs pursuit of it....
Lisa Page told the Wall Street Journal that the PADAG [Matthew Axelrod] was very pissed off because the Justice Department had learned that the FBIs New York office was openly pursuing the Clinton Foundation probe.
Yup, the campaign stretch-run was upon us, and the oh-so-non-partisan Obama Justice Department was fretting that Mrs. Clinton could be toast if the public heard about yet another criminal investigation....
Yet, however steely-spined he may have seemed to Axelrod, McCabe did issue a stand down order at least according to agents down the chain of command, the Journal reported.

Dishonest McCabe
Yup. And you can show them the Sessions/Boyd letters written in plain English, and they still will see what they want to see.
Right now the muckrakers are running full speed with a story from the WaPo, based entirely upon the always trustworthy “sources say”.
That liberal rag gets treated as gospel when it prints a rumor that they like.
Geniuses, I’m tellin ya, geniuses.
Trump would fire Sessions, you see, but he can’t because he will get impeached for exercising an authority that is solely his according to Myers v United States.
Evidently in muckraker world, unlike this world, Congress can ignore SCOTUS decisions because... of things and stuff.
And the Qooks are going to feel embarrased beyond belief when they find out who Q really is.
Did Grassley vow he would or would not confirm a replacement for Sessions?
Did or did not multiple GOP Senators promise there would be hell to pay if Trump fires Sessions?
Please name a single Senator who said he would back Trump’s right to fire Sessions, when Trump floated the idea of doing so.
Kind of like Obama leading from behind.
“You are wrong about Sessions.”
For the sake of our country I hope you’re right.
“Please name a single Senator who said he would back Trumps right to fire Sessions, when Trump floated the idea of doing so.”
“Back it”? What they think doesn’t matter. Myers v United States. Look it up and learn who has sole choice in the matter.
“Did Grassley vow he would or would not confirm a replacement for Sessions?”
Oooh, scary. Why should Trump care?
The Federal Vacancies Reform Act of 1998.
Trump can move one of his other Cabinet officers over to the AG spot for 210 days. He can wait until that 210 is coming to an end to nominate a replacement, and when Grassley & Co reject that nominee Trump can extend his temp AG for another 210 days. Wait until that 210 term is nearing an end, nominate a 2nd choice, and when Grassley &Co reject that one the temp gets another 210 day term.
Meanwhile the public at large gets to decide if they have had enough of the Senate obstructing Trump’s ability to have an AG of his choosing. Of course he already has that which is why Sessions is still there, despite the tweets that you all take at face value, as clueless as the MSM that is Trump’s intended target.
And the agents he 'alerted'? They were just 'following orders'?
Well it ain’t Sessions.
So in your simplistic world Trump needs no support from the Senate. He can be the lone ranger, and succeed even with his own party joining with Democrats in open revolt.
This position has the all maturity a 10yo would bring to it.
“Sessions is still there so apparently you and your fellow muckrakers dont know what you think you know.”
“muckraker”????
Tell me, would there be a special prosecutor trying to bring about a coup were it not for Sessions’ recusal?
Has not Trump stated many times that had he known Sessions would recuse himself, he would not have chosen him?
Did not Trump say it was disloyal for Sessions to not tell him before the appointment that he would recuse himself?
Did not Mark Levin, a former DOJ lawyer and longtime friend of Sessions, call on Sessions to resign?
And how is it that an armchair expert such as you think your are have more inside knowledge than the President of the United States and many other experts who are operating in Washington?
I am sure you know all that, but you wanted to use the muckraker word to make yourself seem knowledgeable.
“Trust me...”!!!!!!!!!
The logic of an insane person.
If you can give me just one reason why I should trust an anonymous poster...
No wonder you like Sessions.
Sessions made his recusal intentions clear during his confirmation hearings. If President Twitter had been paying attention he could have pulled the nomination then.Trump is being his typically disengenuous self. .
You leg humping apologists are pathetic.
“You leg humping apologists are pathetic.”
Venom-salivating never-Trumper hating pricks such as you are pathetic.
I held my nose, voted for Trump, then took a shower all because he wasnt Hillary, so technically Im not a never trumper.
These f****** a******* thought they could do anything. They assumed that shrillery would win and that they would be assured of an eternity of being able to abuse their positions of power. We need a prosecutor with no considerations about protecting the “reputation” of the DoJ or FBI. Sessions must go.
