The left is closer than we want to think. They locked in all grievance groups especially the demographics that WILL swing elections: Blacks, Women, Latinos, Gays, Unspecified Freaks and Muslims. I think the Trump victory was a miracle and the Left knows it. That is why they are furious and especially more insane. We will see fury from the left as we move closer to subsequent elections.
Decades of welfare seems enough reparations.
So, what territories will they give back to Mexico and native Americans?
I agree, if any slaves want compensation, they should get it. Just set up offices in each town and ask them to bring in some sort of proof of mistreatment.
Those who were born after 1860 can pay for this.
Programs like this are lunacy. It is not possible for people in one historical era to right the wrongs of a past historical era, once the living victims have come and gone, the effectuality of such a scheme diminishes to a vanishing point within a generation or two.
For one thing, you have to realize that every African American alive today would never have been born because his or her previous seven generations (or thereabouts) would have lived elsewhere, married differently and produced different sets of children. By this generation, there would be no resemblance to the existing population.
And not only that, the alternative black population would be living in west Africa if not sold into slavery somewhere other than the United States.
By the time you try to figure out who owes what to whom, it degenerates into a massive fraud in which people totally unconnected to the crime against humanity are paying other people not directly connected themselves for suffering of other people inflicted by another group of other people.
And a reality check would be in order. How many of these presently so-called victims of a legacy of slavery would wish to return to Africa? Is that not the natural justice sought, a return to the place that their ancestors called home? My guess is that fewer than 0.01% would even wish to do so if given an incentive, and of those, fewer than 1% would be glad they took the offer.
So in other words, this is just buying votes with taxpayer money, an expanded welfare scheme and tantamount to fraud.
No wonder it’s part of the DNC platform, that is the formula they always look for.

They could spend the entire national budget on reparations for each of the next 10 years and get no more than 15% more of the black vote.

As stated, I do not expect to die of natural causes. Neither will those sent against me in the name of progress.
I would like a million dollars in reparations for every year I spent working my way from teenage poverty to current prosperity while society claimed that I must have access to easy privilege due to being White.
They are nuts.
