To me, that has always been an unusual thing about Leftists. They have absolutely no moral compass, the ends always justify the means, and if eggs have to be broken to make Leftist omelettes, then they will get broken.
It is too bad for them that Leftists don’t know history (or DO know it, and think they will be ‘different’ because they are guided by their ‘good intentions’) because if they did, they would know that Stalin, Mao, the Khmer Rouge, Castro, and a host of other Leftists eat their own in the pursuit and retention of power.
Funny. When the Leftists get into power, one of the first things they do is consolidate their hold on it by eradicating many of the people who helped them get there. After all, you can’t have too many of those sharp, intelligent, task-oriented people hanging around, because as anyone (even beady eyed leftist thugs) knows, someone who will turn traitor for one reason, is just as likely to turn traitor for another.
History has shown that one of the most common laments by people being dragged off by a tyrannical government is people shrieking in bafflement “Why are you doing this? I’m on YOUR side!”
