There are reports of two shooters in the school. Perhaps a grain of prudence was involved in not bursting in without knowing where the two were?
This clearly means that people should be expected by government entities to protect themselves when they have "skin in the game". Yet, government folks willfully disarm The People, guaranteeing that they become victims under such circumstances. If conservatives were smart, they would be using this tragedy and the one years ago at Columbine to press for reinstatement of Second Amendment Rights for all situations. Teachers who wish to carry a weapon should be allowed to do so.
Conservatives need to take the initiative to present this case, even if WE must start throwing paint on people. Conservatives don't seem to care enough about anything except to BLOG BLOG BLOG. Action, never, it seems.

A psycho freak came killing
He took shots at children

Scotty moved far from the door
When he saw those children dying

The psycho freak just laughed at them
When he walked out of the school house
The Broward cops blanched
As they all backed up some more
Scotty scooted down and said
“I hope that psycho’s leavin’.”
And you could hear more kids drop
As Scotty hid and sobbed some more
Twenty years of crawling
Had made Scot quite the expert
He wasn’t holding nothing back
His fear just made him cry
Scotty left those children
Not a victim still was standing
He said, “Better them than me,”
As he watched the last one die
Then he called me to say
“I couldn’t save a one
I can’t do what must be done
I run away from trouble when I can
Now you can think I’m weak
I sure did show my yellow streak
Bud, I should hope you understand
Sometimes I gotta hide. I’m not a man.”
I’m not an expert at forgiveness, but I usually try. Scot Peterson is an exception. I hope every hour of every day for the rest of his life includes reminders of all the lives that were lost while he hid and then lied about it. Perhaps God will forgive him, if that pathetic coward truly repents, but I probably will never have the strength or desire to do so. He accepted a responsibility, took money for doing that job, and then turned chicken when innocent children needed him the most.

Only an investigation will either dispel or prove that with those policies enforced. Students had all kinds of disciplinary problems (drugs, thefts fights etc) when attending classses there. Were scholastic standards lowered to fit fed DOJ grants ?
WHERE WAS THE DEMAND FOR FEDERAL AND STATE INVESTIGATIONS ????
It’ was not guns or the NRA It’s policies which had cops standing outside while killing was going on or some nut getting a gun the FBI knew he wasn’t suppose to... Plus a whole raft of other stuff
WAS THE DEMAND FOR STATE AND FED INVESTIGATION ON THE POLICIES WHICH CAUSED THIS NOT CONSIDERED BY FLORIDA POLS BECAUSE THE RESULT WOULD BE LAW SUITS AGAINST THE STATE ???
