Over the last several months, I’ve spent evenings watching my fiancée, Lara, inject herself with smaller and smaller doses of estrogen. I’ve watched her stand in front of a mirror, singeing each hair out of her face with a secondhand electrolysis machine.
The return of her testosterone hasn’t resulted in just the resurgence of facial hair; her pants now fit differently, too. My own skin has been plagued by acne since I got off the pill six months ago, and my default states are angry, hungry or sleeping. Such are the perils of trying to have a child the way Lara and I are trying, without in vitro fertilization, or cryogenically frozen sperm. The way fertile cisgender people do: They simply couple up, and boom — a child is born.
For many young trans people, the question of having babies is likely the last thing on their minds. Who could blame them? Like all young people, they’re figuring out their future, and matters of diapers and breast-feeding seem abstract and far off. But unlike all young people, young trans people are often making choices that have long-term consequences for their fertility. Which is part of how I, a 32-year-old cisgender lesbian, and Lara, my 33-year-old trans fiancée, came to be in the situation we’re in today: trying to conceive a child, even though Lara transitioned nearly four years ago.
I didn’t even realize I wanted biological kids until my mid-20s. Before then, I’d vaguely imagined that children would simply come to me, à la Auntie Mame, or Diane Keaton in “Baby Boom”: I’d inherit them from a long-lost relative and simply slot them into my independent, modern life.

A mentally ill man with intact gonads is repeatedly referred to as a woman.
I have a very quick decoder-ring method to decipher this crap. Whenever you hear the word "trans" or "trangender," just substitute the word "fake" for it. You'll understand immediately.
"transgender woman" = fake "woman"
"transgender man" = fake "man"
Liberals say that identity is whatever you want it to be. So a mentally ill man attracted to women is a woman attracted to women, hence a lesbian.
The irony here is that despite a warped mental image, the sexuality - the heterosexual attraction - is normal.
Nor is it unique. There are quiet discussions of the “cotton ceiling”, how dare lesbians not have sex with mentally ill men with penises, maybe just be friends and date ...
The surprise here is that the two actually paired off.
Or was she having sex outside the relationship with other males.
It's a closely guarded secret that many, if not most, lesbians still have sex with men, promiscuously so.
So… to cut through the nonsensical nomenclature:
This is a man and woman who are attracted to each other. The man has a mental illness that makes him also attracted to the sight of himself as a mock female. In order to accommodate his fetish, the woman contributes to the farce by calling herself a lesbian.
They have actual man-woman sex, but fashionably call it lesbian sex so all of their friends can practice being tolerant and inclusive.
The dude doesn’t realize that he is going to pay a price for tampering with his body by being infertile. He should not be reproducing anyway, but being the self absorbed nutcase that he is, that would never occur to him.
I used to have the same problem, until a wise FReeper helped me figure it out. He said, "Whenever you see the word transgender, substitute the word fake." That has helped me immensely.
It must have been you who told me that trick a year or two ago. It has worked ever since.

The author is a stupid and deranged female. The other individual is an even more stupid and even more deranged male.
It’s ironic that the author and her fiancée are trying to conceive a child the way nature intended. One is male and one is female regardless of the identifiers they put on themselves. The whole scenario is ridiculous.

Also his driving skills may improve but his ability to talk about his feelings may decline.
A male and a female that are mentally ill want to have children. I’d suggest they get help for that first before screwing up someone else’s life.

There was even a more bizarre instance were a “trans woman” and a “trans man” hooked up and got married, having a child together.
World of surprises, the kid ended up “identifying” as “trans” too.
I read less than 20% of trannies mutilate their genitals to “become” the opposite sex. Must be why they’re trying to forcibly change language. Shades of 1984!
