Here’s Why Jeff Sessions Might Be Playing 4-D Chess

(snip) --- On March 2, Attorney General Jeff Sessions recused himself from “any existing or future investigations of any matters related in any way to the campaigns for President of the United States.” Everyone forgot the line that followed: “This announcement should not be interpreted as confirmation of the existence of any investigation or suggestive of the scope of any such investigation,” he added. But what he did not say was that the announcement should not be interpreted as denial of the existence of any such investigation.” The Swamp—and virtually all of the hysterical right that was conditioned to being stabbed in the back by its elected or appointed officials—merely assumed that no investigation was going on.

Surprise. In fact, Sessions inherited an ongoing investigation by the Inspector General Michael Horowitz. There was an investigation under way (perhaps many) at the very moment Sessions uttered those words. Horowitz had been, in the words of Arlo Guthrie, “oppressed, suppressed, repressed sitting on the Group W bench.” His legitimate investigations under the Obama regime had been squelched, sidetracked, or unceremoniously cancelled. Horowitz was one of those rare Washington creatures: a man who actually has a sense of honesty in his mission.

Mueller’s got nothing. The entire resources of the Deep State used an electron microscope to find something dirty on Trump for at least a year prior to Nov 2016.

I grantee you that mueller has something and will issue a report that ends Trump's presidency. It may not be true or even verifiable in any way, but it doesn't need to be. Once released, the republicans in DC will do the rest. Remember Nixon.

Silence is your best ally.

Yep!, of course not so much if you are one of them who knows everything even if you don’t know a damn thing.

Anyone who says Mueller is a white hat has zero credibility in this treason caper. Anyone fluffing for the zero credibility guy is an idiot.

And probably a Qook.

As FW said, putting your hopes in an internet meme is sad, but more than that, it’s borderline dissociative mentally.

Or cra cra, as it were. Nuts. Bonkers. Several fries short of a happy meal.

Occam’s razor is right, as someone else said. Sessions isn’t doing crap. Even Trump hammers him. Recent tweet—Good luck with that—referring to getting the doj to get off their a$$es. Or is that more super double secret 4d head fake Qook stuff? Eleventy-D chess?

This is so absurd that LS is either insanely naive or is engaged in a psyop on all of you willing to believe this drivel.

The facts are right in front of you. It is exactly as it appears. Yet you accuse me of being incoherent? We have truly crossed over.

Suppose Sessions is playing a masterful game of 4D chess. The last thing you want to do is alert the opposition to this fact.

If it turns out that a masterful game has been played, then the Sessions bashers are owed a great big THANK YOU! for keeping the cover.

In turn, those who say Sessions is playing a masterful game => Loose lips sink ships.

The 4th Dimension is Time, so does that mean that Sessions is going to go back in time and then not recuse himself?

If you folks are right about the “4D chess,” I wish the Attorney General of the United States would stop playing games. This situation is not a board game. Despite the media’s unwillingness to treat it as such, this is the most serious, literal constitutional crisis this country has faced since 1860.

You may be correct. However, there is a chance that the IG report(s) will be released first and they may flip the script. Remember that many of the key witnesses for Mueller are likely going to be named in the IG report. It will be an interesting clash for public opinion, but I refuse to believe that we will not see justice. If we do not, the deep state rules supreme and the rule of law in our nation will be shattered for a generation. Most Americans, regardless of politics, do not believe in “too big to fail and too big to jail.” It is something we instinctively protest because it violates the very fabric of our nation.

I have been upset with Sessions lack of apparent action, but he is not a dumb person by any measure and he is old fashioned in the sense that he believes you do not publicize or leak your laundry regarding investigations. We have all (myself included) become so used to leaks at the highest levels of our government and we know from Sessions public statements as a Senator that he abhors leaking of any kind for any reason. Perhaps the silence we hear now does not mean inaction. I don’t know, but I understand why so many are pessimistic. In a sense the right has that in common with the occupy Wall-street crowd (not the ones pooping on cars) who also developed an innate distrust of the “system.”

I can say one thing with 100% confidence. Jeff Sessions loves the DOJ and what it is supposed to represent. I think he sees and understands the damage that has been done and I would fully expect him to make an effort to right the ship for future generations. I hope I am right about this and he will surprise us all and restore some confidence within the organization and some trust on the part of the American people by sending a message that this will not be tolerated.- politics be damned. If even 1/4 of this seemingly credible crap is true there has been a total politicization of our national intelligence and criminal justice systems that cannot be tolerated.

How many of Comey and Macob’s prior prosecutions / convictions will be questioned? Defense attorneys across this nation have got to be salivating over the prospect of $$$$$ in cases to be challenged.

We have no choice but to sit and wait to see if this description of what’s been going on proves to be true or not. And it won’t be long before we can see if this is what Sessions & Co. have been up to. There are certainly elements of what LS relates that are plausible. It certainly would be a way much more likely to succeed than a head-on approach. So, though I remain skeptical, I would be pleased to be proven wrong.

LMAO.

Yep. That’s the same person who said Mueller was on Trump’s side.
Of course, that was before Cohen got raided.

Well said!

There are plenty of doomdayers running around FR. We have little to no say in what happens behind the scenes, so I say maintain some dignity and let Trump and his select do whatever they’re gonna do. Sessions was a prosecutor, with a great reputation for getting his convictions.
