I could see the same judge ruling the opposite if...
Say a gay man went to a bar wearing an “I’m with her” shirt, or better yet, a “Gay Pride” shirt.
The bartender says, “Get out, we don’t want your kind here!”
The Gay man says, “Why, because I’m gay?”
The bartender replies, “No, because you’re a Leftist!”
The Gay man sues.
What do you think the judge would say, and how will the gay man’s lawyer approach the lawsuit? That his client is a Leftist, or his client is gay?
so if you ask “did you support Hillary?” and they say yes you can kick them out.
Depends on what they deny it for and why. If they deny service to a Nazi on the grounds that they won't serve Nazis then the Nazi in question doesn't have a legal leg to stand on, seeing as political beliefs are not a protected class. If they deny service to homosexuals then as recent government decisions have shown that's another kettle of fish entirely.
Needs a hyphen and some quotation marks to get the meaning across. As in: "Last night I had a drink at a "conservatives-only" bar."
Otherwise confusing. Like saying a conservative can protest an action and prevent it, but only if the prevention (or "bar") is "legal".
We are losing the English language slowly but surely.
If you honestly think that a Christian baker could get away with that crap then you are naive at best.
We all now damn well that this judge wold be hypocritical if the roles were reversed so lets cut the crap
Know.
Which shows you that much of the "discrimination" law is just a political spoils system to grant special legal privileges to favored classes and political allies.
Exactly!
Can you elaborate?

See post 24.
Wonder what would happen if large groups of MAGA folks started showing up at the Tavern for drinks.
RE: Political beliefs are not a protected class in Oregon. Sexual orientation is.
Why is that? Political Beliefs are supposed to be tied to the First Amendment. Can Oregon override the US Constitution?
It’s that simple.
RE: Political affiliation has never been a protected class under any civil rights legislation, state or fed.
Wearing a MAGA hat does not necessarily imply that you are a part of a Political Party. It SHOULD be protected expression under the First Amendment.
“So a conservatives only bar is legal?
Sweet!”
Yes, you are free to open up a bar in the West Village in Manhattan and put a sign on the door that says “No Democrats, No Moderates, No Liberals, No Socialists allowed. Only Conservatives may Enter.”
“. It SHOULD be protected expression under the First Amendment.”
I don’t think the bar in question is mentioned in the text of First Amendment.
If someone doesn’t want to serve me, and I don’t really care why -— I want to leave ASAP. I have worked in food service long enough in college to know that those are the kind of Democrats/liberals that spit in your food or worse if you insist on staying. OH, YES THEY WILL!!! Be thankful for the warning and find a respectable place to dine -— leave the lowlifes to gloat among themselves while you enjoy unadulterated food.
A caller to the Chris Plante show on WMAL radio said that the judge has now authorized discrimination based upon politics in this case, one can now deny renting or selling property to folks based upon their politics “I saw a Bernie sticker on their car” for example. Or “Oh, you supported Hillary, I won’t bake your wedding cake”.
