Similar “pledges” have been signed in the past by the North. Their intent was scrapped by the North nearly as soon as the North Korean dictators left the signing ceremony.

The real concern are political agreements the two may yet sign, which will begin a process of subverting the Constitution of South Korea and see direct North Korean political party openly participating in South Korea while suppression of opposition continues unabated in the North.

Many of the present South Korean leaders aides were members of an organization in South Korea that expresses “admiration” for the North. Some in south Korea consider them seditious but can’t prevent it.

Nothing like this has ever happened before. Of course it must be monitored and followed up on — but the Norks have never done anything like this.

Because Trump blew up Kim’s nuclear mountain.

How it’s done in the real world.
