Members of a migrant caravan have reached Tijuana, Mexico, where they were preparing for a Sunday showdown with American immigration officials. The administration of President Donald Trump has described the group as a threat, and Attorney General Jeff Sessions called the caravan as "a deliberate attempt to undermine our laws and overwhelm our system."
Nearly 20 attorneys from the United States were in the border city dispensing advice to the migrants as a healthy slice of the nearly 400 people who ventured north through Mexico from Central America planned to ask for asylum Sunday, according to Pueblo Sin Fronteras' Gina Garibo, who has been helping to guide the caravan.

I think you're right.
Trump is CinC of the armed forces of this country. He could stop the entry of illegals at any time by deploying the Army to interdict them, just like the Navy and Coast Guard interdicts drug runners. He could build a wall right now, regardless of what Congress or the Senate has failed to provide, by declaring its need for national security purposes. Yet he fails to do any of this. It’s past time for Trump to **** or get off the pot.
We have the leverage to stop this, but it requires the US to punish Mexico economically. Heavily tax all remittances to Mexico - at least a 50% tax. Impose tariffs on all goods imported from Mexico to match the costs of illegal immigration - and make these tariffs ‘flexible’ depending upon Mexico stopping border crossings from their side.
One thing is very clear. What the left is saying about having ‘surveillance’ and electronics/technology instead of a wall is hogwash, because even when we know where and when there are going to be crossings they happen anyway. We need a big physical barrier. Also, instead of rewarding people with amnesty, we should make it the law that 1. If you cross illegally you can never ever become a US citizen. 2. If you cross illegally, and have a baby here, that child does not have automatic citizenship.
They've been ‘trafficking” groups like this every year.....they just sent out their news media to cover it this time and get all the miles they can out of it. It's a punch in the fact to Trump because our laws will protect them, as he referenced last night.....He's a furious as we are that our laws even when enforced are obstructed from working.

Arrest anyone who helps them come across. Mexico gave them asylum so they have no legal leg to stand on in coming here.
We need to change our laws which protect the illegals and Asylum people and not the American people.as well laws against Judges who abuse their positions.
And most of all force mexico to remove from our country ‘their’ gov. offices they have set up throughout the US to assist the illegals in the courts.......let the illegals pay for their own defense!

I agree, and will up the wager by suggesting that President Trump could pull the pin on the grenade, invoke the NDAA and have a few thousand kingpin libs/dems sent to gitmo.
Wish I wasn’t....but this is all about the politics of immigration.....the Dems/Obama and Soros are pushing to see how far they can go in bringing them in.....they already set up the legal framework over the past 8 years he was in office......and lets not forget Holder who is a big player in this.....and why the caravan is at the California border.
How the hell can we change these laws, as long as there are Dems and so many GOPe congress critters?? I just can't see this massive problem solved anytime soon...
And they know if Trump appears weak on this, it kills his re-election hopes.

Trump addressed this at his rally last night in Washington Michigan. Current law requires these people to be put in, then given a date to appear.
They usually don’t. Then our resources have to be spent finding them and booting them.

His hands are pretty much tied as Holder and Obama/soros teams already had the legalities well established over the past 8 years.......what we’re seeing is their machinery in action.....’testing’ the system they have in place before the really big push they intend to do..and before Trump can change it... It is no coincidence this is happening before midterms. They’re looking for “fire”...

Yes, it is all staged. It is a political stunt financed by who knows - the usual suspects I’m sure. You want this stunt to backfire? Infiltrate a couple of Al Queda types into the group and let them climb the fence, arrest them inside the US, then perp walk them in front the national media. Turn this story right on its head.
And the risk is not just small cells of terrorists - though we saw what just a couple of dozen could do on 9/11. But what is to stop the Chinese or “Russians”, for example, from assembling a 5th column of tens or hundreds of thousands of trained killers and saboteurs. Sneak them into the country over a couple of years and let them lay low until they reach sufficient numbers to execute their plan, then activate them to sabotage our infrastructure, soft targets, and make general mayhem inside the country?
The border absolutely must be protected and the people who don’t articulate this properly are fools.
Well if they had any political savvy they would say they are victims of the drug gangs to whom Atty General Eric Holder “walked” thousands of guns.
