“Here is a question to ponder in our arrogance. What sovereign nation can have nukes and what sovereign nation cant?”
It’s not arrogance to recognize that proliferation to more nations than already have them is bad for the safety of people all over the planet, especially as proliferation increases the chance that terrorists will gain nukes.
Does that mean that it is somehow unfair that Israel got theirs before North Korea and Iran could catch up? Sure. But there is also a heavy burden on those nations that are nuclear capable to exercise restraint and maturity. Not every nation is stable enough to carry that burden.
