Mueller raised possibility of presidential subpoena in meeting with Trump's legal team
The Washington Compost ^ | May 1, 2018 | Carol D. Leonnig and Robert Costa

Some legal experts believe that two Justice Department opinions prohibit federal prosecutors, including Mueller, from charging a president with a crime. Instead, they said, the Constitution relies on Congress' power to impeach as the route to hold a president accountable for potentially criminal behavior.

Trump's lawyers could then argue that he cannot be forced to testify under subpoena, unless his testimony is necessary to indict someone else.

Who is “playing a card” here? It’s not likely to be Mueller, since a Federal prosecutor would know better than anyone else that there’s no way in hell someone is going to appear before a grand jury after his lawyer’s office was raided.

Mueller and his entire team need to be arrested , charged with treason , tried and found guilty , marched to a gallows and hanged . Ok .... too strong ? Marched before a wall and shot . There , fixed it .

Absolutely, positively, 100% correct. When that job is done move on to the rest of the Deep State/Media Complex.

Meeting was 4 weeks ago. Leaked now to keep Korea and wall climbing invaders off the front page.

And it worked.

Mueller doesn’t care about legality. He is looking for a pretext for impeachment. He knows that he has no case that would stand up in court,

I read this title on Drudge tonight.

My immediate thought was "an evil servant rises up to overthrow his master". May God punish swiftly this evil Mueller and all his secret allies in the same manner as God did to Haman, so that nothing like this will ever dare to rise again for at least a generation!!

No crime was reported as having been committed, nor has one been found. Why are we wasting taxpayer dollars and violating the US Constitution doing this crap??

Mueller has already decided Trump is guilty. They’re just going thru the motions to pretend the process is “legal”. They’ll subpoena him, legal or not. It then doesn’t matter if Trump honors the subpoena. If he doesn’t, they’ll charge him. If he does, then his answers don’t matter. He’s already guilty. Coup complete.

Time for Trump to burn the deep state from within. Make them eat their own.

When Mueller asks DJT about what he was “thinking about” or was “in his mind” when he did A, B, or C, exactly whom is he intending to bring in to refute this?

Are we at the Ouiji board portion of this?

Mueller, why did you block Congress from learning of the Russian bribery prosecutions relating to Hillary’s Uranium One deal?

Even FOX NEWS this morning seems giddy with their headline "Mueller Closing In". This in spite of Mueller never saying he WILL subpoena Trump. He says he MIGHT, he COULD, or "it's possible".

All this is an effort to undermine the president as he heads to a historic meeting and possible peace with North Korea. What the left is doing right now borders on treason.

I CANT BELIEVE THIS CAME FROM THE WASH/POST. Could be they are as sick of Mueller as we are.

Some legal experts believe that two previous Justice Department opinions prohibit federal prosecutors.....
....including Mueller.....from charging a president with a crime.

Instead, the Constitution relies on Congress' power to impeach for potentially criminal behavior.

Trump's lawyers could argue that he cannot be forced to testify under subpoena,
unless his testimony is necessary to indict someone else.
