It’s like if Trump hired me or you to advise him on something, in my case I work in the trucking industry so I say Trump hired me to advise him on the trucking industry, why the hell would I need a lawyer if these enemies of the USA subpoenaed me to answer some questions? “Why did Trump hire you as an advisor?” “To advise him on the trucking industry” It would be a very curt, very short meeting before I asked them what crime I am being charged with or suspected of, and if there is none “To hell with you” is what I would have said, which is what Caputo should have said BEFORE he blew all his money. Have you ever had to testify or give a sworn deposition? And not just give your recollection of what happened during an accident involving your truck?
If you haven’t then you’ll realize quickly that it’s nice to have an attorney present. It’s also nice to have an attorney respond to any requests from the other side. They speak in legalese and your answers, while making perfect sense to you may be just what they need to hang you out to dry.
