Confidants of Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told the White House that President Trump won’t be invited to the ailing senator’s funeral, according to a new report.
Plans for McCain’s funeral, according to the New York Times, include an invite for Vice President Mike Pence, but not the president. The service will be held at Washington’s National Cathedral.

The president doesn’t attend funerals That’s the job of VP or someone else designated. Malania attended BB because it was another First Lady. ,Pence as president of the Senate will be the designated mourner. Poor Pence !

Trump successes is what makes McCain even more bitter. From decisively winning the election to racking up one accomplishment after another..almost like Salieri and Mozart from Amadeus. Salieri at least composed some ok music during his time. McCain’s accomplishments are a big zero. Add to that that Trump hogs all the media attention while a media hungry politician like McCain gets none. And lastly Trump’s doctor gives him a clean bill of health and what does McCain get ? Brain cancer. I can’t imagine what it must be like to be him.

Hope this last place grad of Annapolis is not planning on flying off the planet. The Navy can’t afford to lose another plane.
That was my first thought. But other outlets have reported the story.
What's left out here is that McCain's people wanted Pence, rather than Trump, to attend -- which is probably what would have happened anyway.
Maybe it wasn't so much a "Don't you dare come, Trump!" as a "The VP will represent you, right? No need to bother coming yourself."
