One day prior, Trump urged Americans to not cast their ballot for liberal lawmakers who back stricter gun control laws and are against cracking down on illegal immigration.
"Democrats and liberals in Congress want to disarm law-abiding Americans at the same time they are releasing dangerous criminal aliens and savage gang members onto our streets. Politicians who put criminal aliens before American Citizens should be voted out of office!" Trump tweeted Friday.
"We are going to demand Congress secure the border in the upcoming CR. Illegal immigration must end!" Trump added.
Trump signed a memorandum last month designed to end “catch and release” policies.

I don’t like DJT making closing down government a threat. Obama did that and then through costly actions, made the closing painful. Trump should be matter of fact about any shut down. HIS plan should be minimizing the impact on citizens and making sure the absence of government is an invisible non-event.
I saw a T-shirt recently that said “Construir la pared.” That’s Spanish for Build The Wall. LOL.
So far,Trump always seems to have the next play lined up. I am going to start the popcorn, this may be good.
I get the impression that the borders will be closed, instead of the whole country.

What he should do is declare a national emergency, say the country is under attack which it is, put as many troops as possible on the border with orders to shoot anyone who tries to invade and arrest any politian or citizen for treason who attempts to assist these invaders. 60,000 people a year are dying from fentanyl coming over the border including rock star Prince who bought percocets off the street that was mixed with fentanyl. 60,000, that’s 20 Sept. 11 attacks every year. It’s mass murder on an unprecendented scale in this country, mass murder that all these gun protestors are perfectly fine with, incredibly even support otherwise you are racist!

It’s interesting that Hondourus etc sent that caravan of hundreds here then Trump’s response was deporting ‘thousands” back at them.
Seems to me he’s putting 3rd world leaders in their place to co-operate with our laws , even at their own borders to stop this.

I’ve often said that saying ‘securing’ our borders is not ‘closing’ them when we should have done so at other times.

He's not talking about "closing the government"....he's talking about closing the BORDER(s), and probably only the one with Mexico.
