Noam Chomsky may not be a household name in most circles, but the philosopher and linguist has a reputation in academic and political circles for his outspoken radical left worldview. In a recent 90-minute speech at St. Olaf College (no word if Rose Nylund is an alumna), Chomsky declared that he knows the biggest threat to the world. And boy, is it a doozy!
So, is the truest threat to the world North Korea? Is it Iran or ISIS? How about Russia or China? Nope. According to Chomsky, nuclear war and climate change are pretty scary, but the big threats to our planet are the Republican Party and Christianity.

“.....fault of the CIA.....” Just another reason to listen to mclame and NOT confirm Gina Haspell? NOT!
I must make Noam pee in his pants.

I match over 50% of the items of that list.
What did I win?
So sad. Guess this means an end to St. Olaf’s annual Christmas programs.
This guys time is short.
Its not too late Noam!
Jesus died for you too.
The hardest thing about being a Christian is praying for the likes of thiese.
(confession to the masses)
Chomsky and McCain, two bitter old fools reaching the end of their lives.
Faster. Must go faster.
I’m about as interested in what this commie moron has to say as I am in what the leader of the KKK has to say. Why do people insist on giving air time to these clowns?
America and Europe need to secure their borders and stop importing homicidal savages.
That will decrease strains on domestic instrastructure and shortages of domestic resources.
Only an idiot would reject such an prosperous path.
St. Olaf’s College was/is a Lutheran college. So this college that was started by Christians now invites speakers who say that the biggest threat to society is Christians. This is a VERY expensive 4-year liberal arts college. Parents spend over $50,000/year to have their kids indoctrinated with liberal garbage. Sad, just very sad.
Well you did mention it’s a “liberal” arts college, so.....
Linked at FR thread.
we are, that is why we are hated. John 15:18 If the world hates you, keep in mind they hated me first. —Jesus
by the way, that was meant for Christ followers, not necessarily Republicans.
Plenty of Republicans are friends with the world.
Of course, it will come down to that, won’t it? Such evil as the world has never seen...
If I recall, the idea of post-rapture conversions, while a fact, they will be rare, despite the hellish conditions, because unbelievers will be even MORE blinded to the truth than before, when Holy Spirit has been taken out of the earth.
Interesting site I found when researching a bit:
http://www.pre-trib.org/articles/view/the-holy-spirit-and-the-tribulation
Well, actually this will be the tremendous conversion of Israel who will finally recognize Yeshua as their Messiah (Rev 7) in the midst of "Jacob's Trouble". Although the Holy Spirit is removed from the whole earth, I believe this will be like the Old Testament times when the Holy Spirit would come upon Israel and individual Jews like David from time to time.
What brings Israel to their Yeshua HaMashiach will probably be the fulfillment of pre-rapture warnings they heard form Christians about what was about to take place combined with the following:
- The astonishing rapture of the church (Rev 4) - Jews know there is a heaven and will probably have a hard time denying where the church went.
- The attack on Israel by Russia and Iran who are miraculously wiped out (Ezekiel 38; Rev. 6)
- The death of 1/4 of the world (Rev. 6:8)
- The Two Witnesses who will be in Jerusalem for the first 31/2 years (Rev. 11:3-8) - I think these will be Elijah and Moses returned from Heaven, as prophetically depicted in the "Mount of Transfiguration" (Matt 17:1-8), who will testify that Jesus is the Christ.
