If McCain doesn’t resign until June 1 or later then the Az. governor can name a replacement who will serve until November, 2020. If he resigns before June 1 the seat stays open until this November when it will be voted on. With J. Flake resigning it would be a tough one for the ‘Pubbies (two Senate seats at once.)
