Dumbasses do spread that same baloney around. The French fought hard and bitter in WWI, losing far more than the Brits about whom we hear endless stories of Flanders fields etc.
In WWII they also fought very hard and inflicted 27,074 dead 111,034 wounded, on the Germans.
In return they lost 360,000 dead and wounded and 4000 tanks.
The Brits fled the battlefield at Dunkirk. The Brits surrendered at Singapore to a Jap force that was one third their size.
French political leaders aren’t much. But the French soldier is and has been as good as any on earth.
You may be right but you are a rude, coward who will not show a screen name. Have a nice life flaming people better than you.
My experience with French soldiers has been the sameplus they have great food no matter where they go. LOL
That said, to me, French soldiers always appeared a bit of an anomaly in their population. Maybe theyre just the remnant of a once-conservative people. The government is another storywouldnt trust them any more than the Syrians, but then again, Id say that for many of our esteemed politicians as well.
Our Vietnam vets were treated to the same disrespect as the French for many decades. They paid for the sins of a country and leadership who abandoned them.
Anyone can belittle another, but Americans, in general have no idea of the sacrifices of other countries. The soil of the world is nourished by the blood of millions who died honorably, and no one should disrespect their sacrifice due to the mistakes of their commanders.

Agree. But, at times the Brits endured considerable destruction.
