End welfare to immigrants, green card holders and refugees.......
I have a second cousin, who came to this country as a young teen after WW II. His family had had a hard time in Hungary during the war.
My father, who didn’t have much money, sponsored them. Now, we were at best lower middle class... he was an upholstery salesman for Sears, and although I didn’t realize it, he was responsible for their pulling their own weight. It was never a problem, and had it been, it would have been pretty rough for us.
The second cousin must now be pushing 80. He went to college (at that time CCNY, the City College of NY) was quite decent, and became a very successful electrical engineer. There was no talk of milking the dole.
That’s the way it was. That’s the way it should be.
