Rand Paul was asking the right questions... Questions that still must be asked AND answered. Too bad there's not a group in the United States that would hold Government's feet to the fire... maybe a group that could hire people to go out and ask questions like these Rand put out...
Oh wait, that's what an honest press would do... We can be sure the New York Times and Washington Post don't give a damn about spying on a President... well, not unless there's a democrat President again. God I hate these people...

Brennan is a very old piece of wasted skin, and maybe the Good Lord will call him home soon!

Thanks. Posters on this thread are angry that Paul voted "with the Dems" against Haspel. I don't know if he should have voted NO, but it was for different reasons then the Dems had. His letter to Haspel shows concern that she may have been involved with deep state skullduggery against Trump. I think Rand should also have asked Haspel whether she approved of that spying, because as CIA director she becomes so much more powerful.
I am also worried that she could continue the open defiance of congressional oversight.
Like you, I hope my concerns are unnecessary.

You both need to be extremely careful here in stating Trump needs to spy on his political opponents. You’re in danger of normalizing the type of action that belongs only to third world countries. To accept it as something we would now do is to give victory to Obama and his fellow deep staters. Part of destroying this country is targeting our laws and ethics.
In addition, you are unknowingly making yourselves vulnerable.
There are deep staters and other anti-Americans on this site, posing as normal Freepers. Your statements about spying on our political opponents can draw them to you because they will see you as easy prey. They will then try to propagandize you further, so that you will be used to further the narrative they want.
It seems reasonable to assume both of you are smart enough to avoid this. After all, those deliberately working for the deep state are very stupid. Part of their stupidity is they themselves don’t understand the reason they do what they do.
