And to think of all the toasters people leave the store with that have the power to burn down an entire house with a family inside yet there is no instruction given on how to properly operate the toaster. Shocking!!

Well, this vet disagrees vehemently with this assclowns assessment. See how easy that was? Guess he’s nort clear on the definition of “infringed”. Not all vets are equal.

law enforcement undergo extensive training on how to make the right shooting decision quickly while under extreme stress

Is that why so many Unarmed Citizens are shot by Police across this Country?? In Torrance they Police shot 53 rounds into a Toyota Pickup and MISSED the two INNOCENT occupants.

COPS don’t go to the public shooting ranges for a reason, they are terrible shots.

(((Yawn))) Another liberal “veteran” speaks out. It’s obvious he didn’t understand why he was in the military, if he ever was.

This military is no friend of the 2nd amendment. Most civilian shooters are far better trained than the military... that’s just a fact.

The network that employed Chelsea Clinton as a “Journalist” and had to fire their blue chip news anchor Matt Lauer for shagging the young’uns in the newsroom in now trying to tell ANYONE that someone else’s culture is dysunctuonal? Serve it on toast, NBC News. This article is the ultimate in hypocrisy..

Sir,

if you going to use your posture as a “vet” to lecture on guns, you might want to actually have done something other then logistics your whole military carrier.

When your create a deliberate false premise about your military background at the start of your article, it destroys any intellectually credibility it might have had.

This evil moron’s article, modified with only minor changes:

Before I was sent out to speak on behalf of my company, I had to prove an intimate familiarity with public speaking — how it worked, its maximum effective duration, how to introduce and close off topics safely, how to arrange and rearrange my words, how to keep my language clean, address those who jam or stall my progress, keep my destination in sight and deliver my points accurately. So it’s hard for me to fathom how easy it is for almost any civilian to walk out of a public school carrying a new diploma without a clue about so many of these standards.

And where business and government speakers undergo extensive training on how to make the right word decision quickly while under extreme stress, these children receive no such training, contributing to avoidable problems arising from poor decisions and petty disputes. In this context, the totalitarian left’s favorite strategy of union thugs with clubs attacking normal Americans is in no way a solution.

It’s crucial that those in the totalitarian left now bring their voice and experience to the national conversation about reasonable speech reform. As a group, they understand words and appreciate that responsible free speech is an important part of American life — but they also understand that a safe environment is achieved through training and regulation.

My revision to his article is just as sensible as the original. I am a big fan of high-quality formal firearms training - as a polite recommendation, but not as a requirement to exercise a constitutional right. I’m also a certified NRA rifle, shotgun, and pistol instructor. I don’t charge for classes, but those courses gave me the knowledge to make sure I deliver complete instruction, without forgetting to mention anything, when I introduce someone to the shooting sports.

Try to restrict that most important of all our God-given and constitutionally protected individual rights, and we’re going to have a problem. My bet - normal Americans and the thuggish left are going to have a problem, one that gets very ugly.

Ask anyone who goes to a range regularly, and they'll tell you that most of the "civilian" shooters are as good or better than the cops that go to the same range.

Being a cop or a service member does not automatically bestow some phenomenal expertise with a firearm.

And whether it does or not, I don't recall there being any "entrance criteria" for the 2nd Amendment. Whether this lackey thinks someone is qualified to own a firearm or not, that right is vouchsafed by our Constitution.

It’s called personal freedom - and personal responsibility. Yes, any non-felon adult can go buy a firearm without a clue as to how to use it. If they injure or kill themselves or others they will (quite rightly) suffer the consequences. I’d rather have that system than one where an all-powerful state decides what I’m allowed to own and operate.

To Mr. Diamond:

I spent a while writing a long exposition about how you are completely wrong and frankly a total moron. Then decided why bother? You’re too stupid to understand basic history, the Constitution, why the 2nd Amendmen exists, and pretty much anything else of import.

To reiterate: Mr. Diamond, you are completely wrong and a total moron.

/clearly not directed to you, Ben

Michael E. Diamond served as a military intelligence officer in the United States Army Reserve for seven years.

So, what war is he a veteran of? MI types typically do not engage in anything but paper pushing.

Ok. This vet will bring his voice. I swore to uphold the constitution against all enemies foriegn and domestic. That means defend the 2nd amendment from infringement. Infringement from the author. The author who is an enemy of the constitution. I will do that.

training and regulation. No. that part is Unconstitutional. The first part can be implemented by NRA gun safety courses in all the schools.
