“I don’t believe PDJT is an idiot.”

Me either, which is why I assume he’s going to use the tools available to him including strategic misdirection. The Sessions bashers dismiss this as “4D chess” in order to suggest it’s a kooky theory - but it’s not. Of course Trump is using strategic misdirection.

Here it is in a nutshell:

Trump knows Mueller’s witch hunt will find no dirt on him because there’s none to find. They always knew they had nothing so the whole plan was to scare Trump - bait him into firing people and then get him for obstruction. Trump is not an idiot so he didn’t fall for it. Their fallback strategy was to try and keep him tied up - hobble his agenda. I don’t think that’s working either.

Meanwhile, while everyone is focused on Mueller’s investigation there are many other investigations uncovering a widespread Obama admin conspiracy to illegally use executive branch resources and intelligence to steal the election for the Democrats. Trump knows about everything the DOJ has, and that it absolves him, but is very damning for this political enemies.

Trump knows he’s holding all the trump cards and that his enemies have nothing - the only question left is how to play out his cards for the best outcome. In poker, the goal in this situation would be to build the pot - get your opponents to bet - act crazy - behave as if you have a lousy hand - run a misinformation strategy.

If I were Trump and my own DOJ was about to indict hundreds of my political enemies while exonerating me, I’d be worried about one thing:

I’d worry that the public would see it as me using my executive authority, my DOJ, my lapdog AG, to whitewash my political crimes and seek political retribution against my political enemies. You can bet the Left, the DNC and the MSM will take every opportunity to push that narrative to the public 24/7.

So, how to counter that narrative? If I were Trump I’d do everything I could to distance myself from my DOJ and my AG. I’d start by saying I wouldn’t get involved - let them go where the evidence leads, let the chips fall where they may - justice is blind - all that. I certainly wouldn’t fire or repkace anyone at DOJ. I’d threaten to, but I wouldn’t actually do it.

But I’d go a step further and say I’m deeply disappointed in my DOJ. I’d ask rhetorically “Why don’t they investigate X? Why is so and so still not in jail?” I’d cultivate the public perception that I had absolutely no control or influence over what the DOJ does or what the AG does - they’ve gone rogue.

That way, when the DOJ ax falls on Trump’s political enemies, and the MSM wants to portray Jeff Sessions as Trump’s political lapdog or hatchet man, they’ll have an uphill battle. When Mueller comes up empty handed and they want to portray it as a DOJ run whitewash - they’ll be hard pressed because the perception is out there that Trump’s entire DOJ including AG and deputy AG were out to get Trump.

This Sleepy Sessions narrative plays right into Trump’s hand, so thank you Sessions bashers - Trump is playing you like a fiddle.

I’m in lock-step with you. It’s the only way to play it. The bashing of Sessions here at FR ignores that PDJT would tolerate, what appears to be, complete incompetence. Of course he wouldn’t so it has to be due to things we’re not hearing about.

Mueller is obviously trying very hard to get fired. They NEED PDJT to make the wrong move and they’re going out of their minds that he hasn’t. They think he’s unsophisticated and will make knee jerk reactions. They are the ones too stupid to realize he’s not whom they want him to be. He is outplaying them so well they don’t even realize it.

I’m thinking that the President does know everything. And we have to remember that if what we’ve been told about data collection, meta data, etc and the NSA, then Adm Mike Rogers KNOWS EVERY F*CKING THING THERE IS TO KNOW. And, if I’m not mistaken, he paid an unannounced and “unauthorized” trip to Mar a Lago to talk to Donald J Trump, while still working for obama, much to the ire of obama.

But, what could obama have done at that point? Fire him? Sure. About 2 months before leaving office for the new President. No telling what Rogers knows or has on obama, the clintons, everyone, and how many “deadman switches” he has. They all probably want to throw him to the sharks but know they can’t.

So, is it possible that Adm Rogers handed off what NSA knows about all of this? Why does it always seem that the President is a half step ahead of these, who now seem to be, bully amateurs? Is he just letting this all play out, giving them all the rope they need to tie their own nooses?

And let’s not forget about Weiner and his laptop. I realize that the Weiner issue is different, but the some of the players are not. No telling what NYPD found on that laptop. Is it possible that an investigator from NYPD made some copies and somehow they made their way to Trump Tower. Lots of NYPD guys working there now. His former security director was NYPD. The President, contrary to what the media wants to portray, now, is rather well liked in NYC, especially by the cops and firemen.
