I would love to see municipal and state-level apprenticeships and mentoring to get these people a trade and pathway to starting a family while practicing godliness.

Anyone familiar with such?

A friend of mine interviewed with the State of Maryland for such a position. He’s a contractor who has worked with prison ministries for years. They wanted him to train released prisoners in renovation and building.

But, the pay was far less than he’s making now and he would have to get a Masters Degree within a few years.

He’s been a builder for 20 years but the educational establishment requires an expensive and useless degree.
