Oregon has raise minimum wage to $36,000,000/hour as a result of this teen’s dilemma in order to provide everyone a living wage. He’ll be fine.
A hamburger in Oregon will now cost $173,427.97 + tax.
I think this case brings up an interesting judicial dilemma.
How would you (meaning all readers of this thread) settle this case ?
Wildfires.
Hillary use to steal that much in a day
Given the way the Federal government is printing money he might be making this much when he is 30.
I would rather see the judge give a practical doable amount then one that will be ignored by the kid. 100,000 over the next 10 years if the kid comes from a family with no resources. if he has resources then modify it up so it still hurts. a number like 36 million s impractical and will be ignored by the kid and his family. Also has a good chance of turning him into a career criminal because of the fact that he will be garnished for the rest of his life and not able to dig out of the hole he is in. a life of crime becomes very appealing if you feel you have no stake in society... this has nothing to do with feeling sorry just believe in realistic punishment that might alter the behavior in a way that is positive especially when dealing with crimes committed by children.....an adult is different all together.
