With each passing day, I am getting more convinced that the scenario I presented as an outlandish theory in early 2017 is actually what happened:
The Trump campaign knew about the surveillance while it was going on, and took active steps to undermine it and use it to their advantage.

You’re not alone in speculating along those lines. I’ve wondered if surveillance wasn’t discovered and rather than go running to a hostile media, Trump & Co said to themselves, how can we use this? And so they did, “planting” false info via illegal surveillance. When it’s all said and done, I suspect there was an epic feint regarding the Rust Belt leading to Hillary staying away while Trump courted them.
Yup - I agree that Trump Campaign believed something was up. Remember the story that GA & TX were “in play” and HRC might win them? The HRC campaign put resources in those states to try and win in a big blow out, feeding their egos and they ignored MI & WI.

I have always believed that someone in the know informed Trump way before Adm. Rogers. Perhaps a patriot in the CIA/NSA/FBI. All it would take is an anonymous letter with a little bit of inside baseball included. Trump knew about this and it will be interesting if that ever becomes public. I bet it won’t.
