That dude is Phil Spector. He created the”Wall of Sound for groups in the 60’s. Made a lot of money for it, too. going from memory: …but the guy was a bit of nut and always carried a gun or had one nearby. A woman claimed she shot at her as she fled his apartment one night some years ago and that’s how he wound up in court.

Phil Spector was found guilty of the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in his second trial, six years after the event, in 2009 . The first was declared a mistrial. He was sentenced to 19 years. He says it was an “accidental suicide” that happened in his home. Fortunately, the jury found otherwise.
He’s 78 with another 10 years to go.

He also fired a gun in the studio during a recording session with John Lennon. One of them got up to leave after a marathon recording session and Ramone pulled a gun on him. The Ramone (stories don’t agree on which one it was) said, “Shoot me, kill me, otherwise, I’m leaving.” He no doubt didn’t realize Ramone was quite capable of going that far.
That story has one too many Ramones in it.
