Trump Rallies (and Surprises) Navy Grads:

President Trump traveled from the White House to Annapolis, Maryland Friday morning to give the commenement address for the 2018 U.S. Naval Academy graduating class.

"You are now leaders in the most powerful and righteous force on the face of the planet: the United States military," President Trump said to a stadium filled with 30,000 people. "Each of you will make your own mark on the Navy, the Marine Corps, the military, and the history of our great nation...There is no hill our Marines our can’t take and there is no stronghold the SEALs can’t breach. There is no sea the Navy can’t brave."

"Together you are the tip of the spear, the edge of the blade and the front of the shield defending and protecting our great country," he continued. "America is the greatest fighting force for peace, justice, and freedom in the history of the world."

The president joked about the football rivalry between Navy and Army, then proceeded to ask if they were "sick of winning yet." He also informed the cadets that hundreds of new ships are on their way and said the days of depleted military funding are over.

"No money for the military? Those days are over," he said. “We know that the best way to prevent war is to be fully prepared for war.”

Near the end of his remarks, the president said he was told he would stay and shake hands with the top 100 graduates. The number was limited for the sake of time. He turned to the crowd and asked if he should stay to shake hands with all of the cadets, which totaled more than 1000.

"What should I do?!" he asked.

After chants of "Stay! Stay! Stay!" he made the decision to stay and greet every cadet receiving a diploma.

"Together their is nothing America can't do. Absolutely nothing," Trump said. "We are all in for America like never before. We are all in for our great country."

“Strive for excellence, live for adventure, think big, dream bigger, push further, sail faster, fly higher, and never, ever stop reaching for greatness,” he concluded. “As long as we are united with the same mission, the same purpose, the same patriotic heart, we will win because we are one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God.”

I saw it unfiltered without the yapping mediot commentary on C-SPAN.

It was very moving and you could see our country’s finest step up to serve it.

And our Commander In Chief was there to personally greet and meet every graduate.

You can’t ask for more than that on such a beautiful day regnant with American pride and American heart.

Thankfully, we have a President who unashamedly, and appropriately, acknowledges the Source of each human being's life, rights, and the liberty to exercise them before any and all audiences. These young future protectors of our freedom seemed to appreciate the sincerity of their Commander In Chief.

I recently reread Jefferson's June 1, 1795, letter to Tench Coxe.

"Dear Sir:
". . . ."

"I congratulate you on the successes of our two allies. those of the Hollanders are new, and therefore pleasing. It proves there is a god in heaven, and that he will not slumber without end on the iniquities of tyrants, or would-be tyrants, as their Stadtholder. This ball of liberty, I believe most piously, is now so well in motion that it will roll round the globe, at least the enlightened part of it, for light & liberty go together. It is our glory that we first put it into motion, & our happiness that being foremost we had no bad examples to follow."

"Perhaps it is time for a renewed reliance "on Divine Providence," along with technology's new access to the ideas that gave birth to liberty which might help to restore "light and liberty" and turn away approaching "darkness and oppression."

The mission of our military is to protect that "light and liberty" and to continue now, as in Jefferson's day, to "turn away 'darkness and oppression,' from whatever source it is coming--from inside ideologies or from the outside enemies of freedom and light.

Me too, only not “kinda”. Tears are running down my cheeks. We are so fortunate to have a president who loves and believes in our beloved country.

“Those of us that also did the same when our boys and girls came back from the Atlantic & Pacific after WWII. I remember banging pots and pans. “

I remember all of that-—and we kids cheering when we heard about the bombing of Hiroshima because it meant the end was in sight.

My wife and I are both retired military. We love our country.

I used to get almost sick to my stomach when Obama would apologize for America and criticize the military and our fighting men and women. He was treasonous as far as we were concerned.

But Donald J. Trump is a true leader and motivates and encourages our military to be the best they can be and that they are the best the world has ever seen.

Inspiring, motivating, uplifting.

I'm not ashamed to admit his words to the Naval Academy graduates brought tears to my eyes.

He makes me proud to be an American again after 8 years of Obama bad-mouthing our great military and troops.

obama was speaker in 2013 when my son graduated USNA. Even the sky had the sense to weep when he was speaking ... it was raining.

But once he left, the sun came out and it was a glorious day!

I love this guy. Everyday there are more and more reasons to be so very proud of him and what he is doing for this great nation. I wish I could have been there. Thank God DJTrump came along when he did.

Does anyone get this and the haranguing of the NFL to get their sheet together have a common theme?

Yes we are Great and we did build that, and we have a common culture and it is great and he is trying to get us back to it.

Luv this man more and more each day.
