Even though the author brushes it off, having armed personnel in a school IS effective, more often than not.

Instead of everyone following around mini Adolf Hogg, kissing his *** and attacking American gun owners and the NRA, we should be after the NEA to find out what the hell they are teaching the young skulls of mush that makes them want to kill one another. Guns aren’t the problem. School kids are the problem.

Schools need to be hardened like a courthouse. Screen everyone. Secure the building and restrict entrance to a single point where there is a metal detector.

“Unfortunately, as we saw in Parkland, even with an armed police officer on scene, the shooter was neither deterred nor neutralized by a “good guy” being present.”

No, a good guy wasn’t at Parkland.

It’s not what the government or public schools can do for kids. It should be what parents should be doing for their kids. Step up and take responsibility for your kids again and start being parents. You aren’t their bff. The school isn’t there to raise your kid.

Especially if the armed folks in the schools are not uniformed and obvious. The killer kills the guard first or when the guard is at the south door, the killer goes through the north door. Let it be known that some of the teachers and staff may well be armed. Who and where that teacher (or janitor) with a gun is must remain a surprise.

Today, there are no consequences for bad behavior.

Bad guys need to be executed in a public forum... on television. Maybe the kids willl not like seeing consequences of their actions.

Public schools—in the grand sweep of history—are a relatively recent phenomena.

They did not appear until the 1830’s—at least in Pennsylvania.

Some areas held out for nearly a decade later because they rightly were concerned about the taxes to be levied for school support.
