Report: Andrew McCabe Seeks Immunity Deal for Testimony

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe is reportedly in negotiations with Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley to be granted immunity in exchange for his testimony on the upcoming Justice Department Inspector General report on the FBI’s handling of the Clinton email probe. “Grassley, an Iowa Republican, has quietly requested that several former officials appear in front of the Judiciary Committee to discuss the long-awaited internal Justice Department report, which sources say will detail a series of missteps surrounding the Justice Department and FBI’s investigation into Clinton’s handling of classified information while secretary of state,” CNN reports.

“Under the terms of such a grant of use immunity, no testimony or other information provided by Mr. McCabe could be used against him in a criminal case,” Michael Bromwich, an attorney for the former FBI official, told Grassley.

“Mr. McCabe is willing to testify, but because of the criminal referral, he must be afforded suitable legal protection,” Bromwich added.

Immunity is scary, unless the prosecutor knows EXACTLY what the person’s testimony will be.

Comey running around writing books and holding forth on everything strongly suggests that Rosenstein and Mueller gave him broad immunity, probably the first thing they did upon Mueller’s appointment.

It appears the underlings didn’t get the same comfy pillow treatment.

Unless the senate employs a savvy, experienced, hard-core prosecutor and interrogators to wring everything he knows out of him McCabe will leave them holding a bag full of nothing while he walks with his immunity

Give him immunity. He would run as deep as anyone could in the Clinton - Obama cabal and ruling class.

A small price to pay for sinking the Obama regime.

At least a dozen indictments could come out of it. Possibly Obama for obstruction.

They have enough on all of them that it doesn’t matter what the McCabe traitor says. Send all of them to Gitmo.

No deals.

Immunity is OK if the prosecutor is willing to use it, because if he doesn’t answer everything asked, or perjures, the immunity is gone, AFAIK.

But, the FBI took a novel (to me) approach during the Clinton investigation. They passed out immunity like candy, and then never asked questions. For example, immunity was given to some of Clinton’s computer people. And, I don’t know exactly what Cheryl Mills’ deal was, but she was obviously an actor and a witness in the case, but they let her claim attorney-client privilege. WTF?

If immunity means “answer everything, truthfully, or else”, I’m OK with it. But, it only means that if the prosecution means business.

The only thing I would give him is a cyanide pill AFTER he spills the beans else I would introduce him to Saddam Hussein’s human shredder machine. Let him ponder on it.

That’s what I’m thinking.

What is the incentive for telling the truth and nothing but the truth? Will it be Bill parsing every word truth?

I agree if he can link this to Obama and other big fish.

Only if he gives us overlings. Comey, Brennan, Clapper, Powers, Rice, Clinton(probably left a few out) and the King himself, formerly ex-president Obama.
