Pulitzer Prize-winning author and commentator Charles Krauthammer is dying. He’d been battling cancer and seemed to have come out all right, but it took a turn. He released a letter to the media yesterday which was simple in its message, but heartbreaking to read.
“I have only a few weeks left to live. This is the final verdict. My fight is over.”
He thanked family and friends for their love and support and then addressed his colleagues, readers and viewers.
“I believe that the pursuit of truth and right ideas through honest debate and rigorous argument is a noble undertaking,” Krauthammer wrote. “I am grateful to have played a small role in the conversations that have helped guide this extraordinary nation’s destiny.”

In his goodbye letter he concluded, “I leave this life with no regrets. It was a wonderful life — full and complete with the great loves and great endeavors that make it worth living. I am sad to leave, but I leave with the knowledge that I lived the life that I intended.”

A man that lived life well even with terrible disabilities has also show us how to die well. God speed to a man greatly admired. You will be greatly missed.
Although you sometimes tilt your head when he takes a position you might not agree with he was a man who was not “lazy” his view was well thought out and executed and his conviction was unmovable. In an age of complete imbeciles from the left and some from the right where a disconnected sometime missing brain and an open mouth spews ridiculous, vile and stupid unthought out views and mostly other peoples idiotic talking points, Charles was a breath of fresh air
He became a hardcore NeverTrumper and ruined an otherwise brilliant career.
John McCain could take lessons in humility from Charles Krauthammer.
I would hope when it is my time to go I can pass with the same calm humility, forgiveness, acceptance of all I endured and bless everyone I am leaving behind.
I did not always agree with him but his positions were well thought out and honest. One of the few lights at the end of the tunnel that was not an oncoming train.

Very sad, and my heart goes out for his family. However, it stops there; friends and buds with George Will and the never Trumpers...the intellectual purists who don’t get it is really about us, not the gated 495 Beltway gang of elitists, and yes, he was and is a part of that.
With all the BS politicians, pundits, and political commentators out there, a well reasoned and delivered idea from Charles was like a breath of fresh air. He truly will be missed.
If Charles Krauthammer was my worst adversary in the realm of politics, this country would be a great place indeed.
I liked him and respected him as a person but he was a devout globalist Free Traitor™ so his political commentary was garbage at least to me anyway, sorry that is the truth. He was also NOT on the Trump bandwagon. Elitist establishment ALL THE WAY. But Godspeed to him.
He is an anti Trump globalist.

I have always respected Charles Krauthammer even when I disagreed with his opinion. If he survives long enough, I think that Krauthammer could come around on Trump unlike most of his Never-Trump allies.
His year of disability saddened me and his upcoming death saddens me even more. One of the things that particularly bothers me is that he was never able to comment on the continuing, and increasingly, great successes of our PRESIDENT Trump.
I never found him to be particularly bright or distinctive, and couldn’t fathom why some seemed to drool over his words.
