Weepy Dennis Rodman Throws Obama under the Bus
National Review ^ | 06/12/2018 | By MAIREAD MCARDLE

Dennis Rodman broke down in tears on television Tuesday morning in Singapore as President Trump held a historic meeting with Rodman’s friend, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

The former NBA star, who has been talking to Kim Jong Un’s administration for the last five years, he said, reminisced about Kim’s offer to hold talks with former president Obama when he was in office.

“And this is a true story and I have my people there who heard the conversation,” Rodman told CNN’s Chris Cuomo. “He said things like, if they can move the ships back from South Korea, I would do what I have to do to listen.”

Obama, however, ignored Rodman, he said.

“And I tried to do that to Obama. And Obama did not even give me the time of day,” the NBA Hall-of-Famer continued, fighting tears. “I asked him. I said I have something to say from North Korea. He brushed me off. And that didn’t deter me. I still kept going back. … I showed my loyalty and my trust to this country.”

Rodman’s dreams of seeing the beginning of peace talks between the U.S. and North Korea were realized this week when Trump held a historic meeting with the North Korean dictator.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the administration hopes it will be the first stab at reaching a deal that orders the denuclearization of North Korea.

“When I said those damn things, when I went back home, I got so many death threats,” an emotional Rodman remembered. “I got so many death threats. I was sitting there protecting everything.”

He had to “hide out” for 30 days at one point, he said.

“But I kept my head up high, brother,” he told Cuomo. “I knew things were going to change. I knew it. I was the only one. I never had no one to hear me. I never had no one to see me. But I took those bullets, I took all that. Everybody came at me and I am still standing. And today is a great day for everybody.”

Rodman claimed that after he trained North Korean basketball players and made plans for ex-NBA player to come to North Korea, Kim Jong Un said, “Dennis, you know, this is the first time someone ever kept their word to me in this country.”

Governments are governments and people are people.

Most people just want to not be screwed with and have the opportunity to carve out a decent life for themselves.

Rodman, for whatever reason, developed the relationship over there and saw a picture different than the one the media painted.

How is that any different than the phenomena that ushered Trump into office in the first place?

The two party system is likely to be remade in the next few years. They have both been at it to undermine us all.

Let's hope that includes Democrats liberating their party from the America hating Marxists who have managed to seize control of it.

Dennis Rodman, a complete card-carrying nutter with bats in his belfry, makes more sense than the entire demoncRAT Party put together.

Agree. I heard it last night and actually thought higher of Rodman. He may be a bit addled but he also may have played a part here. And Obama was the most nothing president. The photo which best describes Obama’s Presidency was the war room during the bin Laden takedown. They pulled the POTUS off the golf course and sat him in a little folding chair in the corner, in golf clothing, to even have him in the picture. Because he wasn’t in the picture.

I have to disagree with you. Robert deNiro is incapable of learning.

From March 2017:

“So here’s an out-of-the-box suggestion for dealing with the North Korea conundrum.

Send Dennis Rodman to negotiate a meeting between President Trump and dictator Kim Jong Un.

Only half-kidding, the idea was raised at an unusual panel held Friday at the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., in which the former NBA star discussed his many visits to North Korea.

It is hard to imagine a more improbable guest at West Point than the tattooed, body-pierced, bad-boy sports celebrity, but the irrepressible Rodman has a way of wriggling himself into unlikely situations. This out-of-control celebrity got invited to visit the world’s most controlled country in 2013 at the behest of Vice News.

Rodman helped arrange an exhibition basketball game with the Harlem Globetrotters for Kim, who happens to be a basketball fan. That visit was followed by others in which Rodman ate and drank, smoked cigars, played basketball and sailed on a yacht with Kim. He even held Kim’s baby daughter, who he gave a jersey emblazoned with 91, his number with the Chicago Bulls.

He ended up calling Kim a “friend for life.’’

“To me he is just a normal guy. He told me, ‘I would love to come to America to go to a New York Knicks game.’ He actually said that to me,” Rodman said Friday, speaking from the podium of an auditorium in front of uniformed cadets. “Obviously, he can’t come here or he would be dead.”....

Sometimes the best kind of suggestion.

Yeah since Sunday night even thinking of deNiro makes me want to hurl.

Last night on Tim Conway Jr, as he was watching the summit with Kim and Trump, Conway said he was a good lip reader. Couldn’t make out what Kim was saying, of course, but Conway lipread that Trump asked Kim Jong Un if he could step up the pirating of Robert deNiro films. Rofl.

He’s just not someone I would take advice from on how to run a country. Just like Czar Nicholas and Rasputin. I think the interview went South from CNN’s viewpoint.

President Trump needs to also be sure to include Disney World and Universal Studios to Kim’s visit.
