Manafort is an idiot. He didn’t think they woukd be listening to his conversations? Especially when he called overseas while on house arrest??
They didn’t tell him who their “potential” witnesses are, therefore he had no idea who he couldn’t try to call. Turns out the entire planet are potential witnesses.
Mueller made an accusation. I have yet to see any evidence.
It may just be Mueller putting the screws to Manafort to get him to flip.
