Never rush to hire an attorney. Just don’t take to the cops, or anyone else, EVER.This case isn’t worth the time and effort for a prosecutor to take to trial when he pretty much knows there isn’t going to be a conviction.
Charges would be dropped for lack of probable cause and that getting a conviction is highly unlikely. Even if convicted, he’s get probation.

Mr. Conte has been arrested, his mugshot was taken, he was tossed in a jail cell and he is facing two charges.
My guess is that he may have rushed to hire a lawyer.
