It doesn’t matter if it’s real. Soon the media can begin running stories about how the White House is in turmoil, citing “published reports” of discord and potential defections of staff. Doesn’t matter of those reports are real, they just have to exist and there have to be more than one, then they can create their narrative. Watch for it.

So what if they do. The fake news is squandering what’s left of its credibility by continuing to run stories that are immediately proven fake.
Nobody I know reads their stuff or watches their shows anymore. The only reason I see fake news is because people keep posting it here on FR for some reason. And Hannity for some reason always wants to show what the fake news is reporting - so I have to see it there too.
Somebody tried to explain it to me once - “know thy enemy” or something.
I wish everyone would just ignore the fake news - but there seems to be some kind of perverse fascination.
As soon as I see its fake I stop reading - sometimes I scan through the comments to make sure everyone knows how fake it is.
The trouble is there are plenty of concern trolls on FR that know how to play on FReepers fears of a deep state conspiracy and some FReepers actually believe the fake news if it seems to supports the deep state conspiracy narrative.
I hate to see well meaning FReepers get fooled like this.
For example, in the case of this fake news story about Kelly and Trump being at odds - it’s obvious to most that this kind of story is intended to hurt Trump by making it look like he can’t control his cabinet, that they don’t support his agenda, in short, that he’s failing.
But the concern trolls know that if they can subtly cast Kelly as part of a deep state coup - some Trump supporters will be turned against Kelly in defense of Trump - and be fooled into believing the fake news story. I see it happening all the time.
Don’t be fooled. Trump is doing a fine job. He’s got a strong team. They get along fine. He is not being ‘handled’ by deep state handlers. The deep state was dealt a crippling blow the day Trump won the Presidency. Their hopes of continuing their coverups and power abuses rested entirely on getting Hillary Clinton elected.
When that failed, the deep state went to plan B (impeachment and removal over the fabricated RussiaGate ‘scandal’). Plan B was a desperately on move and was another abysmal failure for the deep state, despite the never ending Mueller investigation - they have utterly failed to remove Trump, who is now favored to easily win reelection.
Trump has the upper hand - yes, there is a deep state and it hates Trump - but with Trump as POTUS instead of Clinton, the deep state has had to go into hiding - they are nowhere near as formidable as the concern trolls would have you believe.
