If that were so, then politicians would be leading the charge instead of dragging their feet. Until VT legalized earlier this year, all 8 legal states legalized by referendum.

Politicians, at least until very recently, have been much more on side of prohibitionists than the people.

EXCELLENT observation, Ken!

“The only thing I notice about legal pot here this year is that EVERY DAY you smell it on the freeways.”

It’s legal for a passenger to use it in most states. Just not the driver

“If we are going to have drugs, it is always best to have government the kingpin. They got gambling, look how that turned out. /sarc”

That was a low-info post. States tax and regulate alcohol and tobacco, right? I doubt you would say the states are alcohol and tobacco kingpins.

States that have legalized mj also regulate it along the same lines. State governments are supposed to regulate such things. See the Tenth Amendment.

It is all about the money...no tax revenue from underground pot sales....the rest of the rationale is pure horse poop.

It'll reduce the income of cartels, which will make society better.

The cartels have switched to selling fentanyl

Cartels can't create demand through force of will, and the base of opioid users is far smaller than that of marijuana users.

When pols do the right thing for the wrong reasons, it's the best we can hope for.

"...You have to test them and see which ones work..."

Easy for you to say; some of the little jars of CBD oil run into the hundreds of dollars. I saw one for $5,000!

I just want the one that works for my excruciating lower back pain.

I seem to be developing a “reverse tolerance” to THC and have to keep reducing the number of vape draws to avoid getting high. This is difficult to explain at the receptor level (down regulation should be occurring all along) and the THC cartridge is the same one I’ve been using for two months. Down to one draw now. If this continues i will need to get a weaker THC cartridge. All I can figure out is I’m getting better and better at drawing, and THC is getting delivered more and more efficiently to the bloodstream, although not deliberately. So it isn’t really a reverse tolerance, which should be impossible. Some people say you learn subtleties of getting high over time, and some of that could be occurring also.

Interesting. I have a friend who vapes daily and she says she doesn’t really get high any more. She has a rather difficult job with lots of math, too. I don’t want to be high because I take care of too many people and I need to be as fit to drive and supervise as possible every second. I don’t know why other people get such subtle effects, but I had chalked it up to tolerance. Your case is interesting!

Well its not blind testing, they have a general breakdown understanding of which cbd oils are known for having certain properties and benefits. They do know which ones are generally known for pain relief. Further you may be a person who requires some thc along with cbd oils to get relief for your level/type of pain.

Yeah, I am the only driver in the family with five grandchildren here, and my 101 YO mother is in a retirement facility nearby, so I have to be ready to go. Last night with only two puffs I was in no shape to drive even the riding lawn mower (if I had one). 73% THC GDP.

Some of the visual effects/distortions/almost hallucinations are amusing, but overall, I don’t like being high.

Reverse tolerance for THC is fairly common.

Just takes smaller drags!
