The German Air Force Wants To Know If Its Eurofighters Can Carry Russian Nuclear Bombs
Lets do sanctions!!
Uh, no.
Just no.
US nukes should be carried ONLY by US aircraft. Or missiles.
Well, nothing says “togetherness” like sharing nuclear weapons. When a diplomatic cocktail party just won’t do.
You would think something like this would be “secret”.
German aircraft can’t carry out ANY mission without US support. Arming them with realistic looking nukes would make sense, since they’re not much better than a TALD.
Good, pull our assets AND equipment out ASAP.
Yeah give Germany a nuke, that’s work out well.
Pay your full NATO dues before asking.
How about we take our bombs back and they don’t have to worry about it.
Funny they are talking about doing something like this as their media ramps up the anti-Trump hate even more than US media does. Where do they want to drop those nukes?
What deranged insanity would allow Germany use of a nuclear weapon? And what capability can THEY give America that we cannot fulfill 1000 times better?
Insanity.
Stealth or not, the latest integrated air defenses, especially the Russian S400/500 and Pantsir type weapons, I would think make the reliance on any sort of gravity bomb delivery problematic.
The Russian Iskander seems much more reliable and less vulnerable.
Sure! Just strap the dam thing between the pilot’s legs with velcro, fly inverted over the target, pop the canopy and rip the velcro.
(You may want to do it with a plane that has afterburner capability flown by a pilot with Incredible Hulk-grade neck muscles cuz the wind whip factor is gonna be something wild!)
That was about the same mission-capable rate as the F-111A stationed at Mtn. Home AFB, ID when I was there during the Jimmah Carter days 1978-1981.
Actually, that's a slightly better rate, as we usually only had 25 flyable aircraft out of just over 100 on any given day. Over half were semi-permanent parts pigs.
